Project Scope Statement

Project: Wilmont’s Pharmacy Drone Delivery System

Purpose: Provide a fleet of 4 delivery drones for Wilmont’s Pharma for their drug delivery to
the end customers. This will propel both DroneTech and wilmont’s to the forefront in their
subjective industries. Wilmont’s consumer market will grow and be more loyal and engaging
while DroneTech will gain a huge reputation on being the pioneers in such a game changing
endeavors.

Project Goals: The goal is to provide Wilmont’s a fleet of four drones that will be operated by
their own set of employees delivering drugs to their end customers and consumers up to their
standards and usability.

Project Scope Description:


Product Scope:
1. Four fully operational prototype drones that can withstand climatic adversity maintaining
proper temperature for the drugs to be delivered.
2. Software to operate those drones and interfacing of the software with Wilmont’s database
and privacy and security standards.
Service Scope:
1. Complete handling of drone technology and flight operations by DroneTech.
2. Customization of operations as if it appears to the customer that they’re dealing with only
one party.
Goal:
1. Ensuring the deliverables are met by both parties.
Primary Deliverables:
1. Fully operational prototype drones that have measures for both proper flight control in
high winds and optimal temperature for the drugs it will deliver.
2. Application that makes the customer understand that they’re dealing with one party only.
3. Test report analysis and submission.
Deliverable Acceptance Criteria:
1. Drones full fill specifications on flight and temperature control.
2. Software is bug free.
3. Test results are up to standard.
Key Milestones:
1. Plans for drone and software UI submitted for Approval (Within week 2)
2. Design Approval (Within week 11)
3. Software ready and Manufacturing Completion (Within week 22)
4. Testing and Modification with Bug Fixes (Within week 24)
5. Final Test Run (Within week 27)
6. Closing of Project (Within week 32)

Constraints:
1. Authorization of project.
2. Budget of 1,750,000 USD.
3. Schedule defined within 30th November.

Assumptions:
1. Expect some delays in testing phase as the climatic conditions may not always be
favorable for testing.
2. Expect contingency funds to be used if the delay is to be mitigated by ensuring the
working in overtime by employees.
3. Retail staff of Wilmont’s Pharma is ready to be handed on the drones.
Scope Exclusions:
1. DroneTech will not assist Wilmont’s employee in training of drone control unless
Wilmont’s pharma asks so in the extention of the project.
2. Wilmont’s pharma will not be given permission to copy the technologies used in the
drones unless they are willing to buy it.
3. DroneTech will not be given access to the database of Wilmont’s customers.
