    Advertisement for Research Assistant / Associate & Field Investigator


    Applications are invited from the meritorious and interested candidates for two separate
    positions of Research Assistant/ Associate and Field Investigator in Indian Council of Social
    Science Research (ICSSR) funded Major Research Project entitled “ Vulnerability, Deprivation
    and Well-being of the Geriatric Persons in Odisha: Challenges and Opportunities”.

    Tenure of the Assignment: Research Assistant/ Associate One year and can be extended for
    the entire duration of the Project

    Field Investigator: Six Months

    Consolidated Monthly Emoluments: As per ICSSR norms, Candidates with NET/ SLET/M.Phil/
    PhD (Research Associate) @ Rs 25,000/- pm and without NET (Research Assistant) @ Rs
    20,000/- pm . The Field Investigator will be paid Rs 15,000/- pm.

    Essential Qualification for the Positions: Research Associate:Post Graduate in Social Science
    with minimum 55% of marks and NET/SLET/M.Phil/PhD

    Research Assistant: Post Graduate in Social Sciences with minimum 55% marks

    Field Investigator:M.A. with minimum 55% marks

    Desirable Skills: Knowledge of software packages(MS Office SPSS)

    Job Description: The work of Research Assistant/ Associate will consist of doing Literature
    Review, collection of required Data from Govt and other offices, Data compilation, Data
    Analysis using statistical packages.They will assist in Report Writing and provide necessary
    professional assistance to PI and Co-PI. The Field Investigator will collect Field Data from across
    the State of Odisha
