1) Run the NASFinder.exe from any Windows system.
key in ‘1’ to scan for any existing NASDirectorPro in the network, and key in ‘2’ to display its IP
address.

2) launch your web browser such as IE or Firefox, etc, and type in the found IP

3) At the login prompt, provide the login info as:

ID – root
Password – 0000
Now you are ready to use the Web GUI Admin for the NASDirectorPro.

If for whatever reason, the NASFinder can not find your NAS, use the
next method to assign an static IP to it.

Initial Set up – Assign IP to the NAS from Console

1) hook up keyboard and monitor to the NAS

2) Connect the NAS to your network (connect the RJ45 network cable to the LAN port 0
as, if you are not sure which is NIC-0, connect both NIC ports), turn it on and allow it
approximately two (2) minutes to boot up.

3) once you see the login prompt from the console, login as follow:
user id: root
password: 0000

4) at the command prompt type:

prompt>netconfig
follow the instruction on screen to setup IP for NIC-0 (eth0)
save and exit

5) at the command prompt type:

prompt>service network restart

6) now go to any computer in the same network, open a web browser, and point to the IP
that you just setup with “netconfig”

7) login as:
ID: root
password: 0000
then you are ready to config your NAS via the Web GUI.
