What is a Virtual Trade Mission?

A Virtual Trade Mission (VTM) can be considered the online equivalent of traditional in-
market trade mission. The difference, Atlantic Canadian companies and in-market prospects
connect with one another face-to-face in virtual meetings (rather than in-person), with these
interactions scheduled, organized, managed and individually facilitated by our matchmaking
team.

The advantages of a VTM:

• Dedicated technical training and support made available to parties in Atlantic Canada
on the preferred technology in the target market as identified by customers;
• Dedicated support for meetings to facilitate each individual meeting by our
matchmaking team allowing customers access to many years of experience, research
and direct contacts in each country;
• Use of technology and licenses available at no extra cost;
• Wider global reach, greater flexibility geographically, access to multiple markets;
• Meetings arranged over a longer period, and may include more company team members
(i.e. technical, or engineering staff), allowing greater flexibility;
• Companies will have real-time access to their agenda at their fingertips through
a private link with an overall view or single day view, online through a computer,
Android or iOS companion app.
