“Library of Things” Provides STEAM To Go

in a variety of subjects including science, technology, engi-
neering, arts, and math. These are hand-on kits designed to
encourage problem solving skills and critical thinking, and
yes, plenty of fun in the process.

Kits include:
-All About Birds -Food and Nutrition
-All About Dinosaurs -Gadgets, Gizmos & Gears
-All About Magnets -Imagination & Stories
-Astronomy -Machines & Contraptions
-Building and Design -Math Patterns and Tactics
-Circuits and Technology -Robotic & Coding
-Construction and Build -Sounds, Music & Band
-Decimals and Rounding -Stamps & Drawing
-DIYs and Art Facts -Understanding Our Universe
Sushi Bar -Electronics and Coding
-Estimation and Patterns
-Everyday Science
-Examine Science & Nature

If you or a young person in your household would like to

check out one of these kits, they may be reserved in our cata-
log (search for “Steam to go” for a list of the kits) or you may
stop in the Children’s Department and browse the shelves!
Kits check out for one week.

During days when many of us are spending more time than

we may wish in front of computers and digital devices, hav-
ing these innovative hands-on kits available for our K-12
patrons is a welcome diversion.

Still available! The library is grateful to Duke Energy and the Westfield
Library Foundation for their generous support!
