To whom it may concern:

The Municipality of San Jose, Batangas has 40 untreated children with positive
Tuberculosis. We tried to procure the TB in Children medicines through bidding process
twice, but both biddings failed because the price of the medicines for the intensive and
maintenance phase kit for TB children were not listed in the DPRI 2018.

This letter serves to respectfully inform your good office that there is a missing part in the
DPRI 2018/Sixth Edition which appears in the DPRI 2017. This is “How to Set the ABC of
Medicines Not Included in This Edition?”(page 3 of 2017 DPRI/ Fifth Edition).

In line with this, we would like to request your good office to kindly send us a letter to be
attached to the Purchase Request allowing our agency to procure some medicines not
listed in the latest edition, in which the method on setting the ABC shall depend on our
discretion.
