INTRAPERSONAL- refers to a
communication that center on one
person where the speaker are both as the
sender and receiver of the message

INTERPERSONAL- refers to a
communication between and among
people and establish a personal
relationship between and among them

DYAD COMMUNICATION- occurs between
two people

SMALL GROUP- refers to a


communication involving at least three

PERLOCUTIONARY- the result of the act

ASSERTIVES- type of illocutionary where
the speaker expresses a belief and truth
about the proposition

EXPRESSIVE- the speaker expresses his/


her feeling and emotional reaction
DIRECTIVES- the speaker tries to make
the addressee perform an action

COMMISSIVE- the speaker commits on


doing something in the future

DECLARATION- brings change in the


external situation
