“Planning your Career”

Career planning consist of activities and actions that you take to

achieve your individual career goals. Career planning provides them with the
information needed to make better career decisions. A career planning is an
important tool that can help identify possible avenues on a career path for
an employee and be the instrument that opens up communication between
the employee by giving you the vocabulary to express your motivators. Also,
with this career planning is the ongoing process where you explore your
interest and abilities, and to create your future work success.

Last February 21, 2019, we were on the social hall of our school, The
National Teachers College conducted the seminar about Career Presentation
for the students with Mr.Roj Loria, and admin of the faculty in our school.
Mr. Roj Loria discussed about Labor Market Status the Philippines is among
Asia’s premier labor markets. Philippine Career Trend was also discussed.
They gave the top 10 highest paying jobs for fresh graduates. The number
one is travel and tourism which has a salary of 20,62. The second is
telecommunication which is 19,975. The third one is computer information
technology which is 18,963. I noticed that technology is very important. Lots
of people know how to explore even without learning. Moreover, discusses
also about the LinkedIn, about application that where people are applying for
and hiring a job. LinkedIn is a business and employment-oriented service
that operates via websites, ultimate social network and mobile apps. Best
place to get hired; can recommend job that match the details in your given
details. He also recommended about the importance of job deployment after
graduation to provide the new employee with concise and accurate
information to make him/her more comfortable in the job which encourages
employee's confidence and helps the new employee adapt faster to the job.s
About the other speaker, Ms. Joji Ismail, they discussed the other part of the
program which is the Skill to Success Academy Program or S2S academy
and gave tips about it. It is a free online learning program that builds our
interest, confidence and skills of people who can make her own career
choice. The S2S is composed of 36 modules with different options that you
can use for early career. And the female speaker will be able to help you to
know how to interview a professional and have a conversation that will
appear about an interviewer. Then you will have an activity as if you are an
interviewer then you will know how to ask a professional. This module will
help many people to get their career in the future planning so you can make
a good decision and help with your skills.

I was really happy because the seminar is really a big help specially to
the students for their future job. I'm thankful because they gave tips for our
future job and idea for the job interview so we can get ready in our mock
interview. This is one of those important thing I should never forget.
