Business model of Google:

Google draws in most of its revenue from advertising sales, Google AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick,
etc. which is generally categorised into two types:
1. Performance advertising, in which Google creates and delivers relevant ads that leads to
direct engagement with advertisers.
2. Brand advertising: Google helps
The main costs are its employees and Data centres. Google also spends its budget on acquisition and
research and development. The key resources that Google included its human resources, that is,
Google employees. It also includes intellectual resources such as patents and algorithm technology.
Google’s brand is also a very valuable asset for the company. Along with that, Google also has
offices, data centres and servers in multiple countries.

Google’s value proposition is creating technological products that offer a user-friendly platform to
be able to do a variety of things. Its search engine business has the value proposition of generating
the best result for the Google search query. Google has global sales and support teams. It also
operations and data centres.

Market size: Google has a market share of 86.02% of the search engine market which gives it the
highest technological company revenue.

Google has many products, which are at different stages in their Product Life Cycles (PLCs). First,
Google Pay is in the Growth Stage, as the product is successful, has a growing demand and
expansion in the availability and features even while facing competition from a plethora of payment
apps, which have distinct advantages of their own vis-à-vis Google Pay. Second, Google Maps, which
is in the Maturity stage, wherein the product has reached a critical stage and the costs of producing
and marketing has declined as new maps get updated. Third, Gmail, which is also in the Maturity
stage, as it is the favourite email service of a majority of people. The company keeps adding new
features but overall, the cost of producing and marketing are not as high for the company.
