End of Term3 Exams Will be 50% knowledge and 50% Practical

For Knowledge Exam Book-1 and Book-2 are required, Revision Questions are:
 Identify five hazards in the workplace in the picture below; draw a circle around each hazard and number them with the
numbers 2-6, then
Identify who might be harmed, harm that could occur and suggestion for elimination the hazard
 Identify the firefighting equipment
 Identify Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needed as required by the safety signs, then name the body part they protect
 Write the sequence of good lifting technique.
 Working at a height procedures
 Identify the four things you must do in case of a fire
 Identify the five steps of a risk assessment
 Identify the six control measures that are used to reduce the risks of common operations in engineering
 Identify the type of signs shown in each of the figures below
 The table below lists various types of hazardous working environments. Complete the table with the hazards they pose and
the potential harm they may cause

For Practical Exam V1


1. Students will have access to the workshop to answer the two questions .
2. In the question I: You are going to do a risk assessment.
3. In question II: You are going to suggest ways to eliminate risks.
Instructions for the teacher:
1. Prepare seven hazards or more such as the ones in the table below.

For Practical Exam V2


Students have to follow the safe manual handling techniques to procced with both questions.
Instructions for the teacher:
2. Prepare two heavy objects; object No1 = 10 kg and object No 2 = 25 kg .
3. Workshop trolley.
4. The students have to carry the two objects for a distance of 20 meters from the floor to the work bench while the teacher is
observing and evaluating using the assessment sheets and the table at the end of the exam.
For Practical Exam V3
Students have to follow the safe action on discovering a fire to procced with this task, the assessors will tell you what you
should do.
Instructions for the teacher:
Prepare a workshop that have the following:
 Fire Escape Route Plan fixed on the wall
 Three fire extinguisher label as
Three objects ; object No1 ( Wood or papers), Object No 2 (Electrical apparatus) and object No3 ( Container labeled as a
gasoline)
