PLT MINUTES

 Caroline has completed her post test on verbs. One child is struggling. Has completed pre
test on nouns. Focus on sentences for vocabulary words listed on board.
 Irma has finished her post test. Has started new words (nouns). Pre test tomorrow followed
by activities to support the learning.
 Stasha/Nina have completed another lesson – total 6 words. There has been a strong
emphasis in engaging students to understand to use the new vocabulary not only in written
form but also orally. Talk about sophisticated language.
 Sofia has completed her post test. Chose 6 words – mixture of tier 1 and tier 2. One child
knew all of the words. Twelve students now know all of the new vocab words. The 5 that are
struggling have minimal English. Question: Where to next?
 Anne has completed her summative test and is synthesizing the data.
 Chloe has modified the instructional routine and added a Review of previous learning.
Students are required to match words with meanings as part of her formative assessment.
 Urszula has been reflecting on the structure of hinge questions – the involvement of opinion
and point of view. Has completed summative with 92% of the class able to define, provide a
synonym and write a sentence.
 AGREED – to provide notes for template that Anne will send through Teams so that we are
able to gather the information and collate for next week’s presentation. The template will be
sent after her master class meeting with Daniel.
 DISCUSSION – There was discussion around how the current PLTs are structured but due to
time restraints group was unable to provide feedback. Liz advised that all staff will be given
the opportunity to provide feedback on the current structure of the PLTs next term during
Pupil Free Day.
