Content Standard 2.1 Fractions
Learning Standard 2.1.1 Convert improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice versa.

Objective At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to convert improper fractions to mixed
numbers and vice versa.
Success Key Pupils are able to convert atleast 5 improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice
versa.
Activities 1. Teacher the ‘Quick Calculations’ activity to pupils.

2. Pupils recall the previous lesson with teacher.

3. Teacher provides questions on converting convert improper fractions to

mixed numbers, vice versa.

4. Teacher shows the proper working for the converting method.

5. Pupils solve questions on the topic by following the correct

method.

6. Teacher’s concludes today’s lesson with pupils by recalling what they have

learnt.

Success Key Pupils are able to solve atleast 10 add up questions to three numbers involving
proper fractions, whole numbers and mixed numbers
