    A jazz night featuring several notable jazz pianists including Alex Nakhimovsky, Vladimir Zaslavsky, Oleg Butman, Yaacov Mayman, Karl Kaminski, and Girshel Javakhishvili will take place on August 21st at 7:30pm at Forte Piano in Paramus, New Jersey. Tickets cost $25 and include food and drinks, with attendees welcome to bring their own wine. Reservations can be made by calling 201-265-1212 or 800-PIANO-55. In addition to the regular jazz club format, Forte Piano will run an open forum where the featured pianists can play and evaluate several top grand piano brands.

    Which piano is the Champion?

    In addition to a regular jazz club format


    (concert, drinks, snacks, jam session,
    open mic, etc…) Forte Piano will be
    running an Open Forum. There will be an
    opportunity for each pianist to play some
    of the world’s finest and most well known
    grand pianos. These include Bosendorfer,
    Steinway, Schimmel, Shigeru Kawai,
    Yamaha, and Baldwin. After the pianist
    plays they will fill out a questionnaire
    covering ten different characteristics of
    each. We are looking for honest and
    objective opinions so we will have each
    piano prepared to its finest.
