ENGLISH LESSON - JUST FOR FUN


GRADE 10 AND 11

GOAL: ADDITIONAL SCORE

INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW

 This is individual work.


 Prepare a blank Microsoft word document, but if it is not possible, you can do in your English
notebook.
 On the top of the paper, write down your name, class, number and date.
 To begin this task, copy the link of the link of the website address on the top of the page. Write
down the title. Your topic of the article must be anything related to coronavirus.
 From the article, you need to find 3 words:
 One adjective
 One noun
 One verb
 Copy the paragraph where those 3 words are located, highlight them.
 Find the meanings of each word since there are usually a lot of meaning of a word, you need to
match its meaning with the context within.
 For every word you have, you need to create a sentence using the word (friendly reminder: don’t
copy the example of sentence from the dictionary or elsewhere, you need to create your own
sentence)
 Also, you need tell me the reason why you chose the article.
 Besides that I need you to give me your motivational quotes as the example I give you below.

How does your immune system work?

There is currently no vaccine for coronavirus, and we may not see


one for 18 months or longer. So, for now, our immune systems must

potentially harmful bacteria, viruses and other organisms.

 Defence: the action of defending from or resisting attack.
 Example of sentence using the noun
