My Tools
Subject Area / Topic: T.L.E
Grade / Year Level: Grade 9
Big Ideas about the topic: To identify the different
materials in making sandwiches.

Objectives:

Discuss the uses of the different materials

needed in making different sandwiches.

It is in the city of course there’s a lot of available

materials around that will be use full in
utilization of the discussion.

In this subject matter if the project is available I

will use it and show some video clips that will
be very useful to show the proper uses of
different said materials.

An Observation / Survey Guide

1. Are there learning resources useful for your topic in the resource center
you visited?
2. Are the available materials appropriate for your target grade/year level?
3. List down those that can be useful for your topic.
4. What other materials can you make? (like flash cards, posters, cut-outs,
transparencies, etc.)?

My Analysis

1. What skills did you have which helped you

prepare the materials? What skills did you lack
that made it difficult for you? (Technological
Knowledge)

The skills that I have is creativity and

innovatively, it really helps me to make it
very fast and easy. But the skills that I
doesn’t have is being resourceful and that
makes it difficult.

2. Discuss some strategies on how you will use the materials you
included here in this episode. (Pedagogical Knowledge)

I will based on the prior knowledge of my students in order to

know if they really have an idea on the topic and I will
improved it. To improve it we only need is to guide them
facilitate them and encourage them to study and participate
actively inside the classroom.

3. How well do you know the topic you have chosen? (Content
Knowledge) Discuss the big ideas of this topic that you would
want to focus on.

I really know the topic because I’ve already prepare it, read it,
researched about it and really focus on it. The Mastery of the
topic is the very important in reporting your topic everyday.
Don’t be contented about the single reference you have. Make
some research to gain more ideas and information for your
discussion.

My Reflections/Insights

1. Reflect how your technological knowledge (TK),

pedagogical knowledge (PK) and content knowledge (CK)
worked together in fulfilling the tasks in this Episode.

In the TK that I have observed, the teachers did

not integrate or use technology like projector computer,
and other materials in their lessons. They still use the
traditional way like paper, pen, chalkboard and chalk
because of lack of materials but the materials is been
integrated in the lesson, but the learning is very slow
because the students feel bored because technology is not integrated in their
lesson, like me during my studies I easily got booked especially when my
teachers says imagine this and that where in pack they can provide a good
examples of it. If I will be a teacher, sometime I will use the technology to
motivate students to listen and focus.

2. What are some of the things you can do to enhance and enrich your technological,
pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) to be able to facilitate an active,
interesting, learning and fun-filled learning environment in the future?

As I observed and understand about this TPACK it refers to the

knowledge and understanding of the interplay between CK, PK, and TK
when using technology for teaching and learning. It includes on
understanding of the complexity of the relationship between students,
teachers, environment, content, practice and technologies.
To facilitate it actively, interesting, learning and fulfilled learning
environment I must do first my lesson plan and read books blogs and articles
my topic so that I can deliver it very well. I really need to enhance my ideas
and skills in the proper use of technology as being updated to current events
and activities in the modern world that is related to my lesson so I can
integrated to my lesson so I can integrate it and use it as an examples. I also
need to read and don’t stop learning that I can use in my teaching. I need to
remember that in order to succeed I need to try and push harder to achieve
my goals in.
