SUBJECT: ORAL COMMUNICATION IN CONTEXT DAY: 1
GRADE AND SECTION: DATE:
A. OPENING PRAYER
Dear God,
We thank you for the
gift of this moment and freedom.
For without this PRESENT MOMENT,
we will not see our talents, potentials and responsibilities
and that we are the manager of our lives.
Today, we choose to be more POSITIVE,
and not to entertain any hopelessness.
Today, we choose to be more COURAGEOUS,
and not to entertain any fear and anxieties.
Today, we choose to be more FORGIVING,
and to let go of any resentment and hate.
Today, we choose to be more ENCOURAGING,
and avoid harsh judgment and bad criticism.
We want to be the bearer of consoling words.
O dear Jesus, grant our request today.
Amen.

D1. Instructions/Lesson
NATURE AND PROCESS OF COMMUNICATION
Communication is what connects us as human beings. Society cannot function without communication,
whether it is face-to-face conversation across a dinner table or video conferencing across international
boundaries. But because it is a regular part of our lives, almost like breathing, communication is often thought
of, if at all, as something we are just naturally born to do. Communication, seemingly natural and therefore,
need not be studied, has to be learned AND mastered. Communication is an art, a science, a process, and a
technique. (Oral Communication in Context, Ramona Flores)
