This learning episode provides activities on the what, why and how
to evaluate a curriculum. This episode also elaborates on the need to
evaluate the various curriculum models.

Curriculum evaluation is a new idea for many teachers, not


knowing the every day; the teacher is involved in several components of
evaluation. There are two (2) ways of looking at curriculum evaluation.

Excerpts of the Interview

We also used the so-called strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and


challenges in evaluating the curriculum. And for the students, we used
formative assessment at the end of the lesson, summative test and quarterly
assessment.

My Reflections

If the curriculum are suited for the needs of the students or


learners and also the teacher who perform as a Curricularist,
designers, writers and implementers.
