I am Nilesh pursuing my PGDM in the field of Systems and Marketing from SDMIMD. I did my
graduation in Computer Science & Engineering from Acharya Institute of Technology. I live in
Patna and I belong from a business family where my father is a businessman. My hobbies are
baking cakes, nature photography and reading comics which I have started reading them during
pandemic. That’s all about me and Thank you very much for giving an opportunity to introduce
myself.

My strength is that I like to pay attention to details be it meeting deadlines and always make
sure that I complete the work on time which I have committed to something or someone.
My weakness is that I am working on improving my communication skills to be an effective
presenter. I am practicing it every day to be clearer while communicating.

I have done my project on “Retail Supply Chain Management Practices in India.” The main objective of
the project was to understand the supply chain practices which are adopted by retail firms. While doing
research on the project I saw that many firms have mutual trustworthiness with the suppliers as they
involve them in strategic decision making and information sharing. The main benefit the retailers will get
from this is that the suppliers can plan ahead to send the products on the right time and with this there
won’t be less stock for the consumers. The retailers have brought in the use of IoT & AI solution in this
industry to make the work easier for the retailers which will help them to plan in the long term, control
the demand and bring that much product in the stores such that it doesn’t go to waste i.e., wastage
control, level up the inventories, identifying errors that takes place in different departments, etc. With
this it has helped the retailers to do their work more efficiency. Hence, I would say that the main aim of
the supply chain is to ensure that the goods or products are reached to the consumer timely and make
them happy.
