“Trust”
God is indeed my salvation; I will trust and won’t be afraid. Yah, the Lord, is my
strength and my shield; he has become my salvation – Isaiah 12:2 (CEB)
My devotions this week have focused on one word – trust. Here are some of the
phrases that have spoken to me –
“Trust me wholeheartedly, letting My Spirit fill you with Joy
and Peace.”
“Entrust your loved ones to me.”
“I am all around you, hovering over you even as you seek My face.”
“Trust Me, and don’t be afraid.”
This last phrase really says it all! For many of us, however, we just cannot bring
ourselves to fully trust the Lord. We are so caught up in all the ways we’ve been
hurt by a family member, our best friend, a co-worker, a teacher, or someone at
church. The events of 2020 have certainly caused us to pause when fear begins to set
in. We are facing spiritual battles each day, and Satan loves it when we are living in
fear. Someone once said that our trials are a way for us to develop our trust muscles.
When you begin to feel afraid put your trust in Jesus, our Lord and Savior!
PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS, that You would grant them wisdom about which
schooling option to choose. We pray for your provision physically, spiritually,
emotionally, and financially. We pray for a support system that they can turn to when
the challenges of life are overwhelming. We pray
for churches and believers to surround local families with more prayer and support
this year than ever before.
TEACHERS AND SCHOOL STAFF, that You would grant them supernatural peace and
discernment. We pray for wisdom for school district leaders,
and for the safety of every staff person at every school. May the community rally
around our schools to provide the sanitization, supplies, and emotional support
needed by our teachers and school staff as they educate our children.
