FIN (HEIKKINEN Paavo) - 16 Apr 2009 - Identify Issue

FIN experienced same discrepancies when installing ISIS indicator and found some of the hoses kinked after installation. However
no cockpit effect has been reported.
We introduced a visual inspection program for whole fleet to avoid the described phenomenon. This inspection makes sure that the
hoses are functional and correctly installed until Airbus find a final solution to this issue.
According to the latest info; Airbus has build up several scenarios to improve the installation of the ISIS hoses and is now studying
all these scenarios to identify the most effective one. A planning should be available in April 2009.
When installing the ISIS indicator, we had another mechanic in the Avionics compartment to secures the correct positioning of the
flexible hoses"; Otherwise hose(s) may go in a wrong position and get kinked.

DLH (Kilchert Roland) - 24 Apr 2009 - Identify Issue

Till today, the described problem doesn't occured on DLH A320Fam. aircraft!
