A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
Pinoy Devo formerly Hope in a Letter: Pinoy Devo started in November
29, 2018 when Morgan Harper Nichols, Founder of Her Binder Project —
a Los Angeles based online Christian Community approved my request to
start a Filipino based community of writers and artists to provide free
devotionals for Filipinos. This desire started when I joined Her Binder
Project in May 2015 where I wrote devotionals for women all over the
world. Now, this desire grows and in February 26, 2019, twelve (12)
Filipino volunteers joined the team from different parts of the country
and the world. It consists of writers, digital artists and photographers of
different genders and ages. It is my joy seeing creative people come
together to share Jesus to all Filipinos. Today, I pray that thousands of
Filipinos will join us to study each month.

Daily Devo: One default of human nature is to love himself. When you look at it in a
worldly perspective, it can be dangerous for us Christians because self-love is
subconsciously putting yourself first before anybody, even God. It could mean being
self-centered and would lead to accepting even the bad habits and the attributes of
your old self. And you cannot deny that this could result to sin.
“It’s so tiring to serve, I should just rest.” “Others have already so much, I’d just
keep this to myself.” “I like it. I should just do it.” “This is my attitude; people should
just accept it.”
But if ever self-love could mean anything in Christianity, it would probably be
pointing yourself to God. Because man only love himself when he feels good about
himself yet hates it when his expectations of himself aren’t met. That’s why even
when you put yourself on top of others, you would just end up disappointed.
So if you want to truly love yourself, then you should seek God and put Him above
all. When living for God, loving yourself means letting yourself grow in His presence
and let yourself be filled with His love. And let that filling of His love overflow for
you to love others. To be selfless to help others and be beautiful by being kind and
gentle. It means killing your ego and leaving your comfort zone to love God and
serve Him and His people.
In Christ, the only way to define self-love is to fully grasp and realize God’s love for
you, and let it overflow for you to love Him back and others.

Daily Verse: Psalms 73:21-26
Daily Devo: The world often feels crowded and yet it leaves you lonely and sad.
You try to give your best and you still fall short. Nothing seems to be enough. Like you
are never enough.
When you feel knocked down, it breaks your heart. Especially when the world is being
hard on you. It brings up your past, tries to ruin the present, and doesn't want you to
have a future.
It seems that nothing will ever be right, and you won't make the cut. But all those are
just lies. You are more than what the world says you are.
Someone does think you are just perfect. Flaws and all, scars and bruises included. He
even died for you on the Cross. Your heart and soul weighed more to Him than gold.
Because you are so much a part of Him. You were even created in His image. You are
made in perfection – His masterpiece.
It might be tough right now. But give it a bit more time, be a little more patient. He is
doing mighty things for you even at this moment. He knows you might feel alone, but He
is right here with you. He won't ever leave. You only need to stay still, and keep
believing.
Lift your head up, beloved. Humbly come to Him, be honest, and ask for your burden to
be lifted. He will lead you to a greater future.
The world could turn cruel, and time might not be on your side, yet these things shall
pass. Though, His Love for you, never will.
You matter to Him, beloved. You had been redeemed. If that doesn't show you how
deeply loved you are, then nothing else will.

Daily Devo: Sa magulo at masalimuot na mundo, naisip
mo ba kung sino pa ang magiging kakampi mo? Kapatid,
alam kong may mga araw na mararanasan at
mararamdaman mong parang tinalikuran ka ng mundo
at darating ang araw na tatalikuran ka rin ng mga
kaibigan mo, o sasaktan ka ng mga taong mahal mo.
Normal iyan, kapatid. Pero sabi nga nila, "People may
come and go and only God will remain." Ikaw at si Lord
lang ang mananatiling magkakampi hanggang sa huli.
Kung ipinaramdam man sa iyo ng mundo na hindi ka
sapat o may mali sa iyo at kung ano pa man, hayaan
mong yakapin at mahalin ka ni Lord at huwag kang
maniwala sa ibinubulong ng kaaway sapagkat iyan ang
kukulong sa iyo sa kasinungalingan at siyang nanakaw ng
iyong kaligayahan.
Kaya mahalin mo ang sarili mo sa kung paraang minahal
ka ni Lord. You are dearly loved (see Colossians 3:12).
Fearfully and wonderfully made (see Psalm 139:14).
Kamahal mahal ka. Ito ‘yung tipong kahit hindi mo
deserve pero dahil napakabuti Niya, ibinuhos Niya pati
sariling buhay para sa iyo.
Huwag mo sanang pakinggan ang kaaway. God knitted
you carefully in your mother's womb (see Psalm
139:13). May fingerprint ka ni Lord. Kaya naman walang
dahilan para hindi ka mahalin. You are more than
enough and you did very well. Kung hindi ka sapat para
sa iba, sapat ka para sa Kanya. Look at yourself
positively. Kinaya mo nga iyong mga sinasabi ng mundo
at alam ni Lord na kakayanin mo pa. Hindi selfishness
mahalin ang sarili dahil kailangan mo iyon. Bago ka
magpagamit muli sa Lord, kailangan mo din na ipahinga
at mahalin ang sarili mo. Love God and love yourself,
too.

Daily Devo: What was the worst definition you’ve given
to yourself? There might be one thing you are struggling
with or maybe this season itself is such a hard place to
be in. Maybe you’re just getting by and trying to survive
this exhausting life. You have tried the hardest but you
cannot just keep up with the rest of the world. You see
yourself less than everyone and not fit for this world.
You question your worth and existence.
When God created mankind, He created man in His own
image. Which exactly sets humans apart from the rest of
living creatures. He designed man to take charge of the
creation. He created man from nothing but dust to
something which is an intelligent design. It directly
points out to the fact that everyone was created at its
best extent and fullest potential. No one, not even
yourself, can brand your self-worth, but God.
With regards to this world that is constantly trying to
redefine you, you should realize that this life should be
lived according to what God is telling you. You must
instill in your heart that we are all works in progress and
all of us need grace to keep moving. If you can’t find
love for yourself, then look for the love from the
greatest source Himself. If you’re still trying to question
your place in this world, just look at the cross. The
greatest price is not in the symbolical form of a dollar or
peso, it is the sacrifice of Jesus for everyone on the
cross. Value is the extent of what a person can give in
exchange for something. Jesus gave His life in exchange
for you to live and that defines your worth.

iyong mga mata. “Nasaan na ang mga ngiti ko?” bulong ng

Kapatid, hindi ka na alipin pa ng mundo. Because you
were bought with the precious blood of Jesus. Hindi Siya
namatay para maging alipin ka pa ng mundong ito.
Nakawala ka na sa kadenang noo’y kay hirap buwalin.
Huwag mo nang balikan ang mundo kung saan ka
sinagip ng Panginoon. You are now forgiven and free.
Alamin mo ang worth mo at huwag kang magpakaalipin
sa mundong ito. Mahalin mo ang sarili mo because the
One who gives you love is the One who first loved you at

Daily Devo: Pwede mo bang mahalin ang iba nang hindi
minamahal ang sarili mo? Paano ba iyong, “Love your
neighbor as yourself”? Paano mo maipapakita ang
pagmamahal sa iyong kapwa kung mismong sarili mo ay
hindi mo kayang mahalin?
Hindi nagsisimula ang pagmamahal sa kapwa mo sa
pamamagitan lang ng pagpapakita sa kanya kung gaano
siya kahalaga. Dapat makita rin sa iyong sarili ang
pagmamahal na nais mong ibigay sa iba. Dahil kung
paano mo mamahalin ang sarili mo, magrereflect din
ang pagmamahal na ito sa iba.
Mahalaga pa rin ang pagmamahal sa sarili mo dahil wala
kang maibabahagi na pagmamahal kung hindi mo
naman alam kung paano magmahal in the first place.

Daily Verse: Luke 12:6-7
Daily Devo: Alam mo ba kung gaano karami ang buhok
mo sa ulo, ilan sa tingin mo? According to Healthline
website "The number of hairs that someone has on their
head can vary by individual. However, the average
person has about 100,000 hairs on their head at one
time." Ang dami di ba? Ito ay estimation pa lang. In
today’s scripture, makikita natin kung paanong ang
Diyos ay nagkaroon ng pakialam sa katulad natin na
hindi naman karapat-dapat. Natutuwa tayo kapag
mayroong isang taong nakaalala ng pangalan o birthday
natin. Ganoon din ang Diyos, alam Niya ang lahat ng
bagay na mayroon tayo. He knows every details of us.
He knows everything even our deepest pain in life.
Ganoon ka kahalaga sa Diyos at dapat ganoon din ang
pagpapahalaga mo sa sarili mo. Minsan naiinis tayo kung
bakit mayroon tayong buhok sa ilong, pero alam mo ba
na kaya ka may buhok sa ilong ay para hindi gaanong
pumasok ang mga alikabok dito? Nagagalit tayo kung
bakit makapal ang kilay natin, pero alam mo ba na kaya
tayo may kilay ay para hindi dumaloy ang pawis diretso
sa mata mo? Naiinis ka sa kulay mo pero natural kasi sa
mga Pilipino ang pagiging kayumanggi kaya dapat ay
maging proud ka sa kulay mo. Ten years ago, inis na inis
din ako sa sarili ko dahil maitim ako at lahat na ata ng
paraan ay ginawa ko para lang pumuti hanggang sa
nakilala ko si Kristo.
Maging positibo tayo sa lahat ng bagay, kagaya ng
kwento ng isang lalaki na nalagyan ng dumi ng ibon sa
kanyang ulo. Nagpasalamat pa siya sa Diyos at sinabi
"Lord, salamat kasi hindi lumilipad ang kalabaw!". It's
about being positive in every way. Sa mundong ito na
puro negative ang nakikita natin, we should stand and
take the opportunity to be positive in every situation.

Daily Verse: Genesis 1:27

Daily Devo: Lahat tayo ay nakakaranas ng kabiguan sa buhay. Mga bagay na parang
iniisip nating, "unfair". Mga bagay na hindi natin maintindihan kung bakit
nangyayari at naglalagay sa isip natin ng mga katagang, "Bakit nangyayari sa akin
ang mga bagay na ito?", “mabait naman ako, naglilingkod naman ako, kumpara sa
mga tambay dyan sa labas, di hamak na mas lamang at mas mabuti ako.” Lagi mong
ikinukumpara ang sitwasyon mo sa iba. Lagi mong hina-highlight yung achievement
ng iba sa mga nagawa mo. Lagi mong sinasabi sa sarili mo na “mahina ako, wala
akong kayang gawin at lampa ako”, At ganun nga ang nangyayari.

In today’s scripture, ipinakita ng Diyos kung anong katayuan natin sa buhay. "So
God created mankind in his own image.." Anong ibig sabihin nito? May mga
katangian ang Diyos na inilagay sa atin at dapat isinasapuso natin. He is a victorius
God and we as His children should be victorius as well. You are a winner, not a
loser. Nakakalungkot dahil marami ang mga nanliliit sa kanilang sarili. Madalas pa
nga na ang bukambibig ng mga iyan ay, "Mahina ako”, “Wala akong utak”, “Maitim
ako”, “Pango ako”, “Pandak ako”, “Wala na akong magagawa". Hello? You are
created in God's image! Kung ano ang Ama ay ganun ka din dapat. Maaring panget
ka sa mata ng tao pero hindi sa mata ng Diyos. Maging proud ka kasi nilikha ka ng
Diyos na unique. Alam mo ba na sa dami ng tao dito sa mundo, lahat tayo ay
magkakaiba ng finger print? Kahit kambal nga ay magkaiba din. You are special,
nilikha ka ng Diyos na naiiba. Huwag mong ikumpara ang sarili mo. Imagine, kung
lahat tayo ay pare-parehong nilikha ng Diyos na may iisang mukha di ba?
Nakakatawa kasi ang makakasalubong mo sa mall ay kamukha mo. Kakain ka sa
restaurant ang nasa harapan mo ay kamukha mo. We are created differently and
we should tell this to ourselves. Punta ka sa salamin at i-declare mo, "I am created
in God's image, therefore, I am not a loser.".

Hindi ka mangmang, may mga bagay lang talaga na mahina ka. Kagaya sa school,
hindi naman lahat ng subject ay mahusay ka eh, may mga subject na mahina ka din.
Pastor Albert said, "Lahat tayo ay may kanya kanyang kakayahan na ibinigay ng
Diyos, ang problema kasi minsan hindi natin alam kung saan tayo inilalagay ng
Diyos. Hindi ka mangmang, alamin mo lang dapat kung saan ang kalooban ng Diyos
sa’yo. Halimbawa, kapag magluluto ka, gagamitin mo ba ang washing machine
para makaluto? Kung maglalaba ka, gagamitin mo ba ang microwave para
makapaglaba? Mas magiging effective ang isang bagay kung ilalagay siya sa
tamang paggagamitan." Minsan ganito din tayo. Nasa maling lugar kaya hindi tayo
naggo-grow. All we need to do first is to come to God, seek His will and always read
His letters for you.

There would be people hating you just because they
want to. Some people will look down on you and will tell
you hurtful things such as “you are not enough”, ”you
are not good in anything”, “you’re stupid”, “you don’t
belong here” etc., that will only break your heart into
pieces so don’t listen to them. There will be times that
they will also criticize you just because of that one bad
thing you did and to them it seems like you didn’t do
anything right at all.
Dark moments don’t mean it’s already the end; it’s just
some spices in your life that will help you grow and
learn throughout your journey. Please stop hating
yourself too much for the things that are out of your
control, it’s not always your fault. God is at work and
even at your darkest times He won’t stop working and
loving you.
Learn to love yourself in your darkest times as Jesus
loves you, beloved. Whatever it is that burdens you right
now, please stop blaming yourself and other people,
too. Above all else, blaming others and yourself will not
help you at all. Know that God loves you every day even
at your darkest times and you can never change that.
Now, share love to others. And for you to do that, it
must start within yourself first.

Daily Devo: It is easier to praise someone and throw a little
compliment here and there than to believe someone’s
compliment about you, isn’t it? Do you notice how most of
the people at this age find it hard to give themselves a pat
on the back, including you?
Insecurity is looming at the present time. Perhaps social
media can be considered as a culprit for such a case. But
more than being insecure, lack of the knowledge of truth is
the reason behind people’s self-doubt. But what is this
truth that most fail to see?
It is written in 1 John 4:17 that in union with Christ, love is
brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that
we may have confidence in the day of judgement because
as He is, so are we in this world.
Yes. You read that right. As Jesus is, so are you in this
world. He is victorious, powerful, beautiful in all ways
imaginable. And God declares that you are just like Him.
Hence, you are also holding on to His victory, His power
flows in you, and you beloved, are beautiful and shining
just as He is.
You don’t need any other self description than this. You
don’t have to believe lies or measure yourself up to
standards that came from a frail, messed up world.
Your truth and identity lies in heavenly places and shines in
the face of Jesus. And isn’t that more than enough reason
to celebrate yourself today?
Cling to this truth: Jesus is in you. As you praise Him, give
yourself some praise, too.

Daily Devo: “I wish I had her nose or her fair complexion.
I wish I was her. I wish I had a brain like her. I wish I was
talented like her. Lord why did you even create an ugly
girl like me? I wish I never lived. I wish to bleed.” These
are just some of the things you cuss yourself with in
front of the mirror. Comparisons that make you feel
small and inferiority that makes you feel like a peasant.
These are some of the labels you give yourself when you
feel like you are not good enough or when you feel like
you don’t do things right. A lowly peasant. C’mon! That’s
too much for yourself to bear, my dear. You are
supposed to cheer yourself up when others are trying to
bring you down.
Your two left feet? You can make it right by learning to
groove. Your two eye-bags? Cucumber’s got you my
friend, just slice two and lie in bed. A voice like a frog’s?
Earphones on, volumes up and sing at the top of your
lungs. A nose like a beak’s or a pig’s? At least you can
breathe. Teflon mind? That’s okay. Get a book and read
it everyday.
My point is: on the brighter side, those flaws are really
not flaws. They are there to make you, “you.” To remind
you that there’s always room for improvement. And
there are skills that need honing. Of course there will be
people better than you but that doesn’t matter. What
God thinks about you should be your standard of beauty
and strength. You are beautiful and amazingly made by
God. The truth that He made you out of grace and love
are enough for you to give Him thanks, instead of
sulking.
Dear you, by the grace of God, you are what you are.

Hanna tuwing may family gathering. Instead na mag-enjoy
siya sa presence ng family niya, sa araw na iyon ay umiiyak
siya. Noong araw, being a married woman with no child is a
big deal, tapos aasarin ka pa. Ang sakit lang. Siguro
napatanong na rin siya ng, "Lord, faithful naman ako pero
bakit ganoon ang nararanasan ko?" She is so loved by her
husband pero tila ba may kulang pa din. Pero may plot
twist, anong ginawa niya? Nanalangin! Yes! Nanalangin ng
buong puso. Inilapit Niya sa Diyos at napagkamalan na nga
siyang lasing sa pagpray dahil sa sobrang pag-pour out niya.
Kung nasa season ka man na umiiyak ka na lang sa Diyos o
di kaya'y nagtatanong o napapagod ka nang mag-explain sa
mga "bakit", remember that God is faithful— He knows
what He is doing. ‘Di Siya nagkamali sa kung nasaan ka man
ngayon. You are moving closer to a beautiful moment day
by day, grace by grace. Maybe this season is not about
loving a special someone but loving and appreciating
someone dear to you — yourself.

good... "and bursted out crying..

Maybe right now these are the words you also want to tell yourself.

2019 might have been a tough year for you. Many things might have happened that
taught you to not appreciate what you have. You might have learned to not see the
good things God puts in your heart. You might have always felt unworthy of this
world because of the wrong choices you have done. But this year, the Lord wants
you to see what He has prepared for you. You may not feel it but God has been
good to you. He has been kind to teach you through and through. And He wants you
to open up your heart and soul and learn to let go of yourself, to embrace a new
identity God designed for you.

A new identity that transcends the greatness He puts all together when He made
you. A new identity to be kinder to yourself so you can learn to be kind to others
too. For you to understand the rule of “you can't give others what you do not
have”. A new identity that would be a catalyst of transformation to the mission field
He puts you in. A new identity to always believe what God calls you for. How God
sees you. What God can do for you.

Beloved, do not forget this, you are a good thing because a good God created you.

now, one thing has been consistent: Christians being
persecuted. May it be physical torture or bullying,
everyone can agree that Christianity is the top target for
criticism and hate for the longest time.
The online community is not a stranger to such a case.
In fact, it has been normalized to make fun of believers
online. And sometimes the bullying even goes beyond
the faith topic. It reaches your personal lives,
relationships, and status, making you feel small,
rejected, and unloved.
If you ever felt that you are an outsider, then rejoice.
Yes, you can celebrate even in rejection and
persecution. Because the world rejecting you means
that you belong to a place that is greater than the world.
No, you will never fit in to earthly standards because
you are higher than them. You belong to heavenly
places, that is why societal standards are simply not
applicable to you. So stop trying to blend in. You are
made to stand out.
Celebrate being a world’s reject. For it’s an affirmation
that you belong to God’s family. You are an heir:
crowned and praised as part of royalty.

positive at what life throws right back at you. Restless
nights. Unspoken frustrations. Impulsive emotions.
Broken connections.
It’s essential to have your own kind of peace at your
own pace because once you allow the opinions of other
people determine your mental health, it won’t probably
end well. You just add up stress into your system. And
they will linger at night when you fall asleep and make
you feel unworthy of anything.
It’s about recharging yourself when it’s already
exhausting to give your “yes” to everything. You’ll
burnout easily if you do that. Have the courage to say
“no” when it no longer gives you enough time to rest.
Let Jesus be the one you converse with at times when
you feel drained by everything. Don’t let the world take
away your sense of comfort from speaking with Him. Let
your heart and soul heal, dearest.

Daily Devo: Loving yourself is one of the mantras on
how you value God's creation. But the fact that how you
value yourself translates into how you value others has
often been overlooked. For you cannot just say you love
other people and fail to love yourself the way He
wanted. Pay attention to what Jesus commands in the
simple things. Don't make it contradicting.
So when you say you love yourself, keep away from
unhealthy relationships so you won’t be compromised.
Keep yourself away from over working so you won’t end
up getting sick here and there. Refrain from
over-thinking so you may experience the fullness of His
peace. Keep yourself away from social media toxicity
and give more time reflecting on His Word so it will not
affect the way you view things. Keep yourself away from
sexual catalysts so wouldn't end up being lustful.
Discipline yourself to live within your means and handle
your finances well so you won’t end up in debt. These
are some of the practical things most people don't pay
attention to. So clear on these matters and God wants
you to be mindful with them. Missing the little things
might not equate to losing out on the big things you
want to accomplish but it was stated on the bible that if
you can't be trusted with small things, how could you be
trusted with big things? It goes the same way when you
don't value these practical commands. How can you
value the greater commands then?
Beloved, love yourself the way God wants, so you will
truly understand how to love others.

Daily Devo: Did you know that we are the most unique
and complex being in the world? This speaks so much of
how much God loves us. The fact that you didn’t earn or
deserve the things you have now proves that your worth
comes from God, your creator.
Oftentimes, you may base your worth on what others
say or what they think of you; but beloved, remember
that God only has the authority when it comes to your
worth. You may feel like a nobody, but to God you are
somebody. Be delighted to know that you are
wonderfully made by God! You don’t need validation
from this world. This is one of God’s commands, to love
everyone including yourself.
When you realize how God loves you, you will be able to
fully enjoy God’s love and love yourself. When you
understand God’s love, it will impact how you see
yourself. With these, you can rejoice and say that “I am
loved”. You are redeemed! You are loved! You are
justified! “You are worth more than any sparrows.” (see
Matthew 10:29-31)

Daily Devo: Let’s talk about your aesthetics, emotions and
feelings, and personality. How many times did you feel
ugly, messy, and being overacting? How many times did
you curse yourself for the uncontrolled feelings and
personality type? This world has tainted our perceptions on
how we should look, feel, and act because, for some
reason, we long to be wanted and so we try to please
people. People want to look good first in front of others so
they can feel good about themselves. The world’s ideals
have caused many to be anxious and depressed about
something that aren’t worth the pain.
The Bible says you are intimately designed. God is a
personal God who created you from the details of your
innards to every pore on your skin. The shape of your face
and everything in it are carefully crafted to create a
beautiful you. He even knows that number of your hairs,
and all that falls.
Every combination of your personality and emotions is
uniquely, wonderfully orchestrated, and He knows them
very well. Your emotions and feelings are yours to cultivate
to express yourself, help people, and build relationships,
according to the will of God. You need not alter anything.
With your body, heart, and mind, He knows that with what
you’re given, you can glorify Him and be glad in His
masterpiece, which is you, if you only obey and trust Him.
It’s the heart that matters. With a Christ-centered heart,
you can rejoice and praise Him because He loves you no
matter what the world says about you.
If God rejoiced over His fearfully and wonderfully made
masterpiece, why won’t you?

Daily Devo: She was looking at herself in the mirror and noticed her imperfections
and flaws that made her hate herself. She disliked what she saw — she couldn’t
appreciate the beauty she has because people kept on saying she’s not good
enough.

She found imperfections ugly and she became unhappy. Her nightmares became
her reality. She had doubts on her abilities as well as nurturing the passion for her
art in writing. She was scared of prying eyes — ones that will judge her decisions
without knowing her reasons.

She kept her heart guarded with walls of self-preservation. Yes, she told many
stories, but they were shallow, they didn’t know what’s really inside her: Her
screams and joy. Her triumphs and tears. Her success and failures. Her pain and
happiness. She didn’t mention them for fear of getting rejected of being called a
friend.

She fought her battles alone.

She sailed through seas of adversity without any companion.
She stood by herself when no one else bothered to look her way.

But amidst all these things — she became happier: full of smiles for everyone each
day, treated people with complete honesty about herself, loved her family fiercely
even when they won’t do the same thing, and shared her burdens to her friends
slowly. All thanks to the realization since that day one, God has journeyed with her,
guided her steps, took her hand and loved her unceasingly.

That’s the beauty she has for having a great dad in heaven. She’s a heavenly beauty
and wonder.

Daily Devo: Take a moment and look at your reflection.
Do you know and like who you are? What do you feel
when you look at yourself? Are you having a hard time
looking at yourself? What’s holding you back?
God might be calling you to do something but you’re
unable to do it because of insecurities. Insecurity is a
bondage. It is a prison you build that isolates you,
making you believe that you are not loved. It is also a lie
that the enemy wants you to believe so that you will
look for acceptance and validation from others. With
these, you might be searching for it in the wrong place.
The love and acceptance that you may be searching in
others, you can find in God. Jesus loves you. His love
never gets old, it is the same yesterday, today and
forever.
Learn how to find your self-worth. Remember that God
has already determined your worth. Criticisms doesn’t
weigh much compare to God’s words.

Daily Devo: The last quarter of 2019 has been tough. Iyong
tipong gusto mo nang umiyak habang tinatapos mo iyong
mga reports at projects mo kasi malapit na ang deadline.
Ganyan tayo eh, iyong trabaho na pang 11 months,
gagawin mo ng 1 month lang. Kung kailan malapit na ang
submission, doon magpupuyat. Pero sa gitna ng mga
kabusyhan na ito, ang hindi mo malilimutan ay iyong skin
care routines mo. "Clear skin goals" nga sabi ng iba.
Actually, I've seen these words many times in my twitter
feed since last year. And maybe some of you also included
this in your prayer items. And that's okay. But aside from
religiously following your skin care routines, do not forget
to take care of your body esp. your health, too. And here
are some reminders from 1 Corinthians 6:19-20:
1. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Huwag mong alipinin masyado ang katawan mo sa trabaho.
Kasama dito iyong ministry ha. Alagaan mo ang sarili mo.
Magpahinga ka kung gusto mo pang paglingkuran si Lord ng
matagal.
2. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price.
Ano ang kabayaran sa ating kasalanan? Kamatayan. Kaya
hindi basta basta lang ang buhay na ibinigay ni Kristo sa'yo.
Pagod ka na ba? Gusto mo nang sumuko? Gusto mo nang
tapusin ang buhay mo? Teka lang. Pag-isipan mo munang
mabuti ang desisyon mo. Dahil noong nagdesisyon Siya,
hindi Siya nagdalawang isip na ibigay ang buhay Niya para
sa'yo.
3. Glorify your God in your body.
Huwag kung ano ano ang kinakain at iniinom mo.
Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial
(see 1 Corinthians 6:12) Hindi lahat ng pwede ay
makakabuti.

1. A man who is kind benefits himself.
Minsan may mga sitwasyon o tao na hindi natin
kailangang patulan o labanan. Hindi dahil duwag o
mahina ka kundi dahil mayaman ang Ama natin sa langit
para ibahagi sa iba ang kabutihan at pagmamahal na
natatanggap mo sa Kanya. Gayundin, nakaiwas ka na sa
gulo magiging payapa pa ang puso at isip mo.
2. A cruel man hurts himself.
Huwag mong kalimutang maging mabuti sa sarili mo.
Patawarin mo ang iyong sarili sa mga pagkakamaling
nagawa. At higit sa lahat, humingi ng kapatawaran sa
Diyos. Huwag mong hayaan na wasakin ng kaaway ang
mga pangako Niya sa iyo.

Daily Devo: “You will only appreciate yourself when you
love yourself” is a saying that is trendy to millennials
nowadays. Kind of self-centered, right? Let me rephrase
it, “You will only find self-love if you know God’s love”,
now that’s a lot better.
To love oneself is the most practical thing to do, now
that people see self-love or love in general as something
they can take away from you so easily. Something they
can take for granted and manipulate in their own hands
making you drift afar from the love God has given you
since the day you were formed in your mother’s womb.
Here’s a question you sure know the answer: why are
you hurting? Apparently, it’s because you search for
love in wrong places, in wrong people. You expect too
much from your limited self also from people dear to
you. It’s because you push yourself to be someone God
doesn’t want you to be. To love yourself is good but do
not forget the kind of love God wants for you. To love
not because others find you valuable, not because
people see you as someone they look up to or someone
very talented and gifted. You love yourself not because
you have a boyfriend, girlfriend, a spouse that makes
you feel loved, not because you are respected in your
community and workplace those are depleting but love
because “God loved you first”. You can’t find self-love
just anywhere. It is only found in God. Just like grace
that is freely given to you, so is love. Rely solely on the
love God has for you. The kind of love that will bring out
the best in you. The kind of love that will teach you
kindness, gentleness, and resilience not just for yourself,
but for others too. God is love. If you have God you have
love.

Daily Verse: Ecclesiastes 9:7-10
Daily Devo: Life is a such an expensive gift from God.
Napakamahal, kaya dapat lang din mahalin. So, how can we
cherish this life?
1. Do good and be happy. Life can be hard sometimes, but
it should not stop us from doing good stuffs. And do things
with happiness. Masarap gawin ang mga bagay-bagay nang
masaya. Anuman ang maging sitwasyon, laging may rason
para sumaya. Life is too short para ubusin sa lungkot.
Anyway, may panahon talaga para malungkot. Kaya habang
wala pa ‘yun, be happy as long as we’re not sinning.
Happiness is good for the heart.
2. Have a good lifestyle and mindset. This life is a gift from
the Lord, at anuman ang gawin natin sa buhay na ito ay
regalo naman natin sa Kanya. Natututunan naman ang
lahat ng bagay, at hindi pa huli ang lahat para magkaroon
ng maayos na pamumuhay. Lahat ng aspeto ay mahalaga.
Ingatan at alagaan dahil para sa atin din ‘yan.
3. Spend time with your loved ones. Family, church, friends,
etc. Kahit sino pang malapit sa puso natin ay regalo ng
Diyos. Pinili ni Lord ang mga taong ‘yan dahil may malaki
silang role sa buhay natin. Spend more time with them, lalo
sa ating immediate family. Dahil sa mundong puno ng
pasanin, madalas na sila ang gagamitin ni Lord na kakampi
natin.
4. Be the best you can possibly be. Galingan mo! Dahil may
tiwala si Lord sa’yo. Di maiiwasang magkamali, pero wag
kang titigil hanggat maabot mo ang best mo. God wants
the best for us, so don’t give up in giving your best shot.
Life is short. Make the most out of it. It is a wonderful gift
from God. Cherish it.
