Letter of Motivation

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my interest in applying for the Master's Programme in Entrepreneurship and
Innovation Management at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, starting in the autumn of 2018. I believe
my educational background and my ongoing professional experience would enable me to make a
strong contribution at the University.

To start with, I graduated with a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering (February 2016) from
Linköping University, where I was offered the LIU International scholarship for my Master’s studies. I
did my technical internship at Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS in Germany and my
Master thesis at Digital Radio Algorithms group in Ericsson AB. Currently, I am working in the same
group in Ericsson as a Digital Radio developer and I am involved in the design of digital ASIC part of the
receiver that shall be a part of Ericsson’s 5G base stations.

From the above experiences I can say that I have gained good amount of knowledge in the technical
domain. But in my experience, in the current scenario if one wants to succeed along with technical
knowledge having good managerial skill is necessary. I have always wanted to know the ways on how
decisions are taken on critical things such as if the product is right for the market or which is the right
time to market, etc. And I believe a Master Degree Programme in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Management would offer me the possibility of receiving the complete picture of all aspects of this
field.

The reason for choosing this specific Master Programme comes from the fact that in the near future I
would like to start a company related with Internet of Things. I have already got some ideas in my
head, but unfortunately until now I did not have the right set of framework for putting them in practice
and that is why I know that this Master Programme would be an excellent starting point for me.

Also, if I shall get selected for this programme I will have the opportunity to learn from the best and
the fact that I will study in an international environment will give me the privilege to create new
relationships with people from different cultures. I am also aware of the kind of dedication and
perseverance I will need to have for achieving the best results in the field and I believe my background
will qualify me for such a Master Programme. Finally, I can say that I look forward to join this Master
Degree Programme in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management in order to prove my abilities
and gain new skills. I will be patiently waiting for a positive reply.
