2nd SERIES EXAM – JULY 2020

S2 ECE, EEE, CSE
EST 110 ENGINEERNG GRAPHICS
Time: 2 Hrs Max Marks: 50

PART A
Answer any FOUR questions (4x12.5 = 50 marks)
1. A cone of base diameter 50 mm and height 65 mm rests with its base on HP. It is cut by a
section plane inclined at 300 to the HP and perpendicular to VP. Draw the development of
the truncated cone if the section plane bisects the axis of the cone. CO3

2. A pentagonal pyramid size of base 30mm and axis 75 mm is resting on its base on the HP,
with one edge of base inclined at 300 to the VP. It is cut by a section plane perpendicular to
VP, inclined at 400 to HP and passing through the middle of the axis. Draw the development
of the bottom portion of the pyramid. CO3

3. Draw the isometric view of a hollow hexagonal prism edge of base 30mm, height 60 mm
having a through circular hole of diameter 30mm. The hole is drilled along the axis of the
hexagonal prism. CO4

4. A rectangular prism 25mm x 30mm side and 50 mm long is lying on the ground plane on
one of its rectangular faces in such a way that one of its 25 mm x 30 mm faces is parallel to
and 10 mm behind the picture plane. The central plane is 60 mm away from the axis of the
prism towards the left. Draw the perspective view of the prism if the station point is located
55mm in front of the picture plane and 40 mm above the ground plane. The prism is resting
on the ground plane on its 50mm x 25mm rectangular face. CO4
5. Draw the orthographic views (Front, Top and Right-side views) of the given figure.
