1. Attack Column – Unit does not have to maximize frontage when charging. Unit may charge in column
formation.
2. Shock – Unit gains +1 to dice rolls in close combat on the turn it charges.
3. Open Order – Unit follows rules 1, 6 and 7 for skirmishers on page 127 of WMA rulebook.
4. Lancers – Unit counts as shock the first time it charges in a battle. After that and for the remainder of the battle
the unit counts as Light Cavalry following rule 5 below.
5. Pursuit Cavalry – Unit follows rules for Warbands on page 128 of WMA rulebook.
6. Unit counts as ‘Defended’ against shooting attacks.
Infantry – Infantry Units use Skirmishers. Skirmishers give the unit a shooting range of 20cm until it loses it’s first stand as a
casualty, at which time the skirmishing companies will be recalled for their own protection and to re-enforce the line. When this
happens shooting range drops to 15cm for the rest of the game. Infantry Units after 1808 may use column or ’Mass’ to defend
against cavalry attacks. Count units defending in column or ‘Mass’ as not being ‘in the open’ when charged by enemy cavalry.
Infantry Units may form square using Initiative if enemy cavalry is visible within 20cm. Units in square count as ‘Fortified’
against attacking cavalry. Units may not move while in square formation.
Cavalry – No Cavalry Units may shoot. Lancers should be mounted on a 40mm x 20mm base as non-shock cavalry. Total
number of Cavalry Units may not exceed half the total number of Fusilier Infantry Units.
Artillery – Artillery Units may not exceed half the total number of Fusilier Infantry Units.
