Infantry – Infantry Units use Skirmishers. Skirmishers give the unit a shooting range of 20cm until it loses it’s first stand as a

happens shooting range drops to 15cm for the rest of the game.
Infantry may form square on Initiative if enemy cavalry is visible within 20cm. Infantry in square counts as ‘fortified’ against
attacking cavalry. Units in square cannot move.
Rifles – Light Infantry Units can upgrade their skirmishers to Rifles at an additional +10pts. These behave as normal skirmishers
but in addition they impose a –1 Command penalty on the closest visible enemy Unit within shooting range until recalled due
casualties as above. Rifle Battalions already have rifle-armed skirmishers included in their cost.
Cavalry – Cavalry Units may not total more than half the total number of Line Infantry Units. No Cavalry Unit may shoot.
Artillery – Artillery Units may not number more than half the total number of Line Infantry Units.
