Slides of the Day

Whether students are learning at home or at school, we will all go through the slides of
the day every day. In the slides are a Daily Note From Teacher, the Daily
Announcements/Card Cast, the Homework & Virtual Learning Checklist, and Good Things!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COVID,
CONTINUED
Google Classroom
Go to classroom.google.com or use the link on class website to access our Google
Classroom. Students will use this website for assignments, projects, learning materials,
etc.

Class Dojo
This year we will use Class Dojo for Last-minute Updates, Communication, Dojo Points, &
Portfolio. Majors/Minors will also be documented through Dojo.

Chromebooks
Students need to bring their Chromebooks to school fully charged every day.  We will use
them every day. Students will take their Chromebooks home every night to charge them.

Indoor Recess
If we ever need indoor recess this year, social distancing and sanitizing of all recess
materials will be required. If you would like, you can send your student with one item in
their backpack that they can use at indoor recess.  The item must go home at the end of
the day. The item must be school appropriate, not electronic, and not messy. I will also
be providing activities for students to do during indoor recess, so bringing an item is not
required.

Water Bottles
You can bring your own water bottle to school every day to keep at your desk. Fill it at
home or at school. Take it home every day to be cleaned.

Snack
Your student may bring an individually portioned snack to school each day for snack time.
We cannot store snack in our building, so your student’s snack must be brought each day.
If you do not wish for your student bring a snack to school, they do not have to. If you
want to donate snack for our whole class to share, you can send the box/bag to school and
I will package them individually and safely and hand them out to students who need
them.

Birthday Celebrations
We will not be able to host families and birthday treats this year for birthdays.  Though we
will really miss our traditional birthday celebrations at school, we will create new
traditions this year in our class to make sure everyone feels celebrated on their birthday. 
If you wish to bring birthday pencils for the class or something similar, please drop it off
at least 3 days before we celebrate your student’s birthday so I can quarantine the items.

Family Photo
I would love to have a family photo that I could print out and put in our classroom this
year.  I want to build a community that students feel comfortable in and I think seeing
their family’s smiling face every day could help!  You can email me a photo and I can have
it printed out or you could bring in the photo itself.

Scholastic Book Order for September

You can complete your scholastic book order online! I will try to get paper copies of the
book orders to your student, but there's an online copy of the Arrow and Tab Catalogs,
too! Go to orders.scholastic.com/WTN4T to get to our class's page. Our class code is
WTN4T if you need it!
