“Depression is living in a body that fights to survive with a mind that tries to die” Good morning ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to our talk about fighting towards depression. Everyone has a story to tell and each person has a lot of things going on inside his/her head and emotions. According to Mitchell, David in Cloud Atlas “You say you’re depressed, all I see is resilience. You are allowed to feel messed up inside and out. It doesn’t mean your defective- it means you’re a human.” For those who are depressed both clinically diagnosed and not or should I say not yet, remember that you are amazing. Look at your cuts, or your burns, or those bruises you gave yourself. Each one, is a battle with yourself that you lost. No one has the right to make you feel worthless not even you. That’s why pencils have erasers and pens have correction tapes because we have the right to be perfectly imperfect in this world. You sometimes asked yourself, “How do you run away from things that are in your head?” I say let’s fight it together, do not lose on the battle that your head is going through. Never quit in the war that life had created for you. Never stop believing that there will always be a light at the end of the funnel and happiness in life. If today you are not okay, remember that tomorrow is another day. If you doubt yourself, inhale confidence and exhale doubts. Keep fighting. Every moment is a fresh beginning. Therefore, fighting towards depression is not a one-man movement but it’s about helping each other. One can help and the other can be saved from the cruelty of this word. Remember that “She was always fighting a battle but her smile would never tell you so. Hence, let’s make sure to ask our friends on the one beside us if they are okay because sometimes it all starts when you ask, “How are you?” to a friend or even to a random stranger. So as to with, please asked the one beside you how are they end this feeling today. That ends our talk and may we always remember that life is beautiful and we should never give up, because there’s always a rainbow after the rain that makes our life wonderful. Thank you and God bless.
