It’s a 10-month PG Program for professionals who wish to move to Data Science as a career option.
The program focusses on data science techniques including predictive modelling & machine learning
techniques on the SQL, R & Python tools to solve business problems.

This comprehensive program in Data Science covers the technology, statistical, mathematical and
business aspects of the field. The program enables the learners to become an in-demand Data

The program is delivered in a blended learning format that includes self-paced learning, live
webinars from highly-qualified faculty and industry experts, case study discussions and real-life

Module 5: Capstone Project The capstone project is an opportunity for

candidates to work on industry-like data
science problems under the mentorship of
faculty/industry mentors. This project would
bring in the all the learnings that candidates
would have gained in the course and would
work on problems relevant in the industry using
techniques and tools mastered in the PG Data
Science course. The capstone project also
becomes a way for candidates to showcase
their analytics credentials and learning to their
future employers.

Eligibility

• Any graduate with strong background in Mathematics and have knowledge of at least one
programming language
• Min 50% marks in Graduation
Learning Content and Teaching Methodology

You will be provided access to our Learning Management System to access program content. It
would be a blended learning program including synchronous and asynchronous components. The
program would include:

• Self-paced learning (including pre-recorded videos and other reading resources) through
LMS
• Live webinars
• Capstone project

The program is delivered through live webinars, on weekends. These webinars are attended by
students from India and abroad. These sessions include key concepts, case studies and real-life
examples. Students also get opportunities to clarify their doubts. If by any chance you miss these live
classes, don’t worry, the recorded sessions are uploaded in the LMS.

With real-life examples, the program demonstrate how data science can improve corporate
decision-making and performance and advance your career goals.

Program Delivery Schedule

• It is a 10-months program.
• On enrolment each student would be provided with access to our LMS for e-Learning
content.
• Classes will be conducted on weekends (every Saturday and Sunday).
• Each class would be of 2 hours duration.
• You would also get access to pre-recorded videos, quizzes and other reading resources.
• At the end, there would be a capstone project.

Career Prospects

UPES in collaboration with Edvancer has designed a PG Program in Data Science that equips you to
be fit for roles such as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, etc. by
teaching relevant analytics techniques, tools and technologies and hands-on application through
case studies / projects.
