Gentlemen & Ladies:

The Committee on Tourism, Sisterhood Program, Arts & Culture after
due consultation and deliberation hereby report back to this August Body
the findings, information gathered and recommendation on the subject
committee referral to wit:

SUBJECT MATTER: Referral No. 13cc-0399 : “Draft Ordinance No. 035,

entitled: “An ordinance designating and specifying the area near the
Pagadian City Fish Port at Barangay San Pedro as place for the
Quincentennial Marker of the first circumnavigation of the world in the
Philippines.

1. A meeting had been called for the purpose of discussing and reviewing
Draft Ordinance No. 035, entitled “An ordinance designating and
specifying the area near the Pagadian City First Port at Barangay San
Pedro as place for the Quincentennial Marker of the first
circumnavigation of the world in the Philippines.”
2. The meeting was held on August 11, 2020; 2:00 PM via Zoom app.
3. The Ordinance was written and lobbied for the purpose of designating
an area for the Quincentennial Marker, containing the NHCP historical
marker and bas relief artwork in a pedestal.
4. That along with the referral was a letter from the City Mayor Samuel S.
Co requesting the Honorable Sanggunian to enact an Ordinance
relevant to the designation of area for the Quincentennial Marker as the
 Local Chief Executive has already identified the area where the marking
shall be established which is located at the Pagadian City Fishport.

RECOMMENDATION:
The Committee, after thorough deliberation and evaluation,
recommends that the Ordinance be approved and to undergo its second
reading.
