P15.7.

3 The UGW shall produce and submit updated services drawings to the
Employer’s Representative within three (3) months from award of Contract
incorporating the result of the trial trenches. These services drawings shall be
updated every three (3) months thereafter to reflect the latest
details/changes on the route, location, position and depth, etc., of the
services based on the results of the trial trenches, cable detection, as-built
details of diverted services, etc. The UGW shall ensure the correctness and
accuracy of the updated services drawings at all times. Any cost arising from
damage to the existing services as a result of error(s) in the drawings shall be
borne by the UGW.

P15.8 Drainage Works

P15.8.1 In the construction of the Works, a number of existing roadside drains/box


culverts and other existing drains/box culverts within or outside the worksites
shall be temporarily diverted to suit the road diversion schemes. All
temporary diverted drains must be designed and built by the UGW to meet
the authorities’ requirements. The UGW shall design and submit calculations
and drawings to the authorities for review and approval prior to commencing
the temporary diversion works. All temporary diversions shall be subjected
to the approval and the requirements of the relevant authorities and if
necessary, the relevant land owners. In addition to designing to meet flow
requirements, some drains adjacent to the excavation must also be designed
and detailed to resist lateral earth and surcharge loads if necessary. Upon
completion of the Works, all the affected drains drains/box

existing drains / box culverts are to be fully reconstructed to their original
size, or to the revised sizes as required by the authorities to the satisfaction of
the authorities and acceptance of both the authorities and the Employer’s
Representative. All drains are to be reinstated to the satisfaction of the
authorities and the relevant land owners and to the acceptance of both the
authorities and the Employer’s Representative.

P15.8.2 In addition to the temporary diversion, there are also affected private drains,
authority drains, roadside drains and box culverts that may need to be
permanently diverted. These drains shall be constructed to their original
sizes. All permanent diverted drains shall be constructed in accordance to the
authorities standards and requirements.
