written and spoken) and good in Ndebele (both written and spoken).
Computer skills: very familiar and conversant with Microsoft packages Windows XP, Windows
Vista and Windows 7. Good intensive knowledge and highly experienced in Microsoft Office that
is Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point and various other Microsoft
programs. Relatively good knowledge of Macintosh operating system and its various programs
such as Corel Word Perfect and Claris Works

Work Experience
My role as Managing director (MD) including designing, developing and implementing the
strategic plan of the company in a cost effective and time efficient manner.
I am responsible for both the day-to-day running of the company and developing business plans
for the long term future of the organization. I am accountable to the board and the shareholders of
the company.
As the Managing director I am very much a figurehead for an organization and I act in
motivational role for the workers in addition to their more office-based work. I motivate and
mentor members of the management team as well as chair meetings. I lead the company and
develop the corporate culture for the organization.
In other words I basically run and manage everything. This includes the staff, the customers, the
budget, the company's assets and all other company resources to make the best use of them and
increase the company's profitability.
As the MD I report to the Board of Directors on a monthly and at times quarterly or semi-annual
basis to keep them informed of how the company is doing. The board at times will offer
suggestions and ideas about how to improve the company. It is my responsibility to implement,
improve upon or ignore these ideas.
I am legally responsible for the company's affairs that is I must make sure the company complies
with the appropriate rules and regulations set out in company law. These include following the
proper audit procedure and not allowing the company to break any rules and regulations as
stipulated in the company’s acts and set out in company law.
I am also responsible for devising a succession plan to ensure that somebody is trained to assume
the management of the company when I step down, resign or retire.
Create schedules
Manage administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the organization.
Support the organization's strategic alliances and partnership.
Ensure performance goals are met and set.
Attend and preside over meetings.
Participate in strategic planning.
Represent the organization to the public, key stakeholders and business partner.

Some of the duties and responsibilities I had at Clover Leaf Motors include:
Expanding and growing customer database and to ensure 100% execution of all promotion
and advertising plans.
Managing and running the day to day activities of the dealership, ensuring daily targets are
meet, throughput, hours etc
Enhancing the vehicle park and achieving the monthly budgeted profit before tax.
Ensuring that all relevant and crucial reports are sent on time as per deadlines.
Stock management
Establishing, sourcing new clients and customers and solidifying and strengthening existing
relationships with current customers
Identification of existing and new markets and implementing strategies on how best to
service them
Communicating with various stakeholders and staying abreast with regards to business trends
and market cycles.
Setting of weekly goals for the sales team and constantly reviewing them
Extensive recruiting, training and development of sales team to help them reach their full
potential

Some of the duties and responsibilities I have at Cold Storage Company include:
Managing the sales departments, running and management of the sales team
Price Comparison
Establishing, sourcing new clients and customers and solidifying and strengthening existing
relationships with current customers
Liaising with the works and stock department and relevant and key suppliers
Implementing and monitoring system and physical controls to avoid shrinkage and staff
pilferage.
Managing the day to day accounting activities, running and management of the store
risk management
Liaising with the buying department and relevant and key suppliers
Monitoring slow and fast movers and allocating space based upon their movement
Some of the duties and responsibilities I had as a manager of a business unit were:
Managing the day to day activities of the store and administration work pertaining to the
running of the store.
Setting monthly goals for the sales team and reviewing them weekly
Producing a store plan and allocating space for the department depending on contribution
Ensuring that Cash and bank reconciliation is done properly and correctly that is monitoring
all banking, making sure all banking is done intact. Tracking and reconciling all deposits
against bank statements and banking slips.
Authorizing and signing of petty cash vouchers and any other store elated expenses
I underwent a management Trainee Program with Edgars stores (Pty) Limited which I completed. During
my training and upon completion of my training I was assigned to several stores which I managed which
included Edgars Westgate, Edgars Avondale, Edgars Eastgate, Express Westgate, Express corner H.
Chitepo and 4th Avenue and Express James Court. During my training I went through several phases and
courses which include Distribution centres, stock management, sales, credit control, banking and
reconciliation, credit accounts and managerial.
