Some of the duties and responsibilities I have at Zimbo Music include:

 My role as Managing director (MD) including designing, developing and implementing the
strategic plan of the company in a cost effective and time efficient manner.

 I am responsible for both the day-to-day running of the company and developing business plans
for the long term future of the organization. I am accountable to the board and the shareholders of
the company.

 As the Managing director I am very much a figurehead for an organization and I act in
motivational role for the workers in addition to their more office-based work. I motivate and
mentor members of the management team as well as chair meetings. I lead the company and
develop the corporate culture for the organization.

 In other words I basically run and manage everything. This includes the staff, the customers, the
budget, the company's assets and all other company resources to make the best use of them and
increase the company's profitability.

 As the MD I report to the Board of Directors on a monthly and at times quarterly or semi-annual
basis to keep them informed of how the company is doing. The board at times will offer
suggestions and ideas about how to improve the company. It is my responsibility to implement,
improve upon or ignore these ideas.

 I am legally responsible for the company's affairs that is I must make sure the company complies
with the appropriate rules and regulations set out in company law. These include following the
proper audit procedure and not allowing the company to break any rules and regulations as
stipulated in the company’s acts and set out in company law.

 I am also responsible for devising a succession plan to ensure that somebody is trained to assume
the management of the company when I step down, resign or retire.
