Good morning everyone, brothers and sisters in the Lord

Today, we are gathered and joined by our hearts and spirits as we commemorate and pay homage to
the life, work and ministry of our beloved Senior Pastor Rev. Arleen Fidel. To some he was a mentor, to
others he was a leader, to his family he was a father and a lolo and to Mrs. Myra Fidel, he was a
husband. But one thing is for sure, that to all of us, he is a Man of Faith

Our Memorial service today seeks to celebrate the life of Rev. Fidel, honor and praise the Lord in how he
used Rev. Fidel in the work of the ministry and give each and everyone of us, colleagues and partners in
the ministry, MBC members, friends and loved ones an opportunity to mourn.

I welcome everyone today in this special highlight on the last Sunday of MBC’s 52 nd anniversary. We may
have lost a beloved leader in our church but his legacy of anchoring our lives on God’s Word and earnest
prayer will surely echo for future generations.

May I know call on Ptr. Jonathan Ocampo to lead us in our Opening Prayer

Reading of Life Verse

Pastor Fidel’s unwavering admonition to the church congregation is to build their lives on the Word of
God. In fact, the slogan of his ministry when he began at MBC was that the church will flourish through
the sound teaching of the Word of God and the earnest prayer of Godly people. It is my honor and
privilege to read to you Rev. Fidel’s life verses

To lead us in singing some of Rev. Fidel’s beloved hymns, may I call Ptr. Christian Sampol

The next part of our program will lead us to the various facets of Rev. Fidel’s life and ministry. We are
witnesses to his stern but compassionate leadership in different associations and missions organizations
in our country. His demeanor protrudes command but truly in his heart flows a love and for the ministry
and the workforce who comprises it. This will be a two minute audio visual presentation of the life and
ministry of Rev. Fidel.

The church, through this event’s organizing committee, endeavoured to reach out to certain individuals
who, in one way or another, have witnessed Ptr. Fidel’s dedication and commitment to the work of the
Lord. We hope and pray that the contents of their eulogy and the outpouring of emotions as they speak
will keep alive the legacy our beloved senior pastor left to each and every one of us.

The frailty of human emotions is best demonstrated when we lose a loved one, more especially a father.
The pain is searing and the feeling is agonizing. Xaris, Arj, Daphne and Myleen, for sure, can testify to
this feeling. Nevertheless, they poured out their grief and longing through a song which highlights God’s
grace in times of distress, in times of seeming hopelessness.

To give us the preaching from God’s Word this morning, may I call on stage Rev. Joel Sanares

Pastor Fidel’s was deeply involved in the various associations to which MBC is a member of. He held
various positions and served in different capacities throughout the years The next set of eulogies are
from some of Rev. Fidel’s partners in the different associations namely ABWE, PABWE and PCCC.

For our last set of eulogies, we drew near to individuals who knows Pastor Fidel more than anyone else.
These people are those who can attest to Rev. Arleen Fidel when you leave out the Reverend. These
individuals looked past beyond Arleen as a pastor but a faithful man as well, a man of faith.

May I now give the time to Ptr. Christian for our closing song.

As a token of the church’s gratitude to Rev. Fidel’s service and passion for ministry for (xx) years, may I
call on stage BobbY Seballa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and the pastoral staff of MBC Pastor
Joel PTR. Jonathan and Ptr. Christian as well as Ptr. Xaris as representative of the Fidel family to receive
the plaque of recognition. (Read Citation on the plaque)

Pastor Joel will give to us his closing remarks and close our program in prayer
