Descripción de la Asignatura:
A1 Can understand and use daily familiar expressions and very basic sentences. Can introduce him/herself. Can ask and answer requirements
about personal details where he or she lives, what he or she knows, and things that he or she has. Can interact in a simple way providing the
other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help in the use of the language.

Contribución de la Asignatura:
English as it is well-known, it is the language that it is being used all over the world for any kind of area. So this knowledge will contribute greatly
to the professional education of the students who will graduate at Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas – ESPE.

Resultado de Aprendizaje de la Carrera: (Unidad de Competencia)


Students can understand and maintain complex conversations with native speakers. Produce a fluent language with a touch of authenticity.
Communicate effectively with good intonation. Recognize and understand the communicative purpose of the texts and how to respond
appropriately to the contexts. Compose different types of texts using complex grammatical structures. Produce several tenses, use modal verbs
and passive voice with relative fluency with respect to others.

Objetivo de la Asignatura: (Unidad de Competencia)


The student can understand the main ideas of complex text on both abstract and concrete topics, including technical discussions in the field of
their specialization. The student can interact with a grade of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers at any
time and place. The student can produce clear and detailed texts on a wide range of subjects and explain points of view of a topical issue, giving
the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
