COMPETENCY-BASED CURRICULUM

A. Course Design

Course Title: HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATION - OFF-HIGHWAY


DUMP TRUCK [RIGID] NC II

Nominal Duration: 162 HOURS

Qualification Level: NC II

Course Description: This course is designed to enhance the knowledge,


desirable attitudes and skills in the use of off-
highway dump truck (rigid) in accordance with
industry standards. It covers core competencies
such as: perform pre- and post operation
procedures; perform equipment operation; and
perform basic preventive maintenance for a given off-
highway dump truck (rigid).
Trainee Entry
Requirements: Can communicate both oral and written
Physically and mentally fit
With good moral character
Can perform basic mathematical computation.
