Venezuela's political crisis continues to worsen
fter last year's parliamentary elections,
Venezuela's opposition party had taken
over the National Assembly. Of course,
this would cause major confict within
the government. Lawmakers wanted to move the
country away from the aftermath of Hugo Chavez's
socialist regime, while current president Nicolas
Maduro continues to lead with socialist views.
Part of the National Assembly's plan was to
release opposition activists who were considered
political prisoners. The amnesty bill would've There have been rallies

by the Supreme Court, who deemed the bill
unconstitutional.
Venezuela is a divided country, with some
supporting Maduro's socialist government,
while others oppose it. Because of this conflict,
Venezuela's economy is starting to go downhill.
Water and power shortages are causes of worry. As
a response, Maduro called for three-day weekends
for workers to try and conserve power.
Without any intervention or aide, Venezuela's
future doesn't look too bright.
