MINI PROJECT

There are many compounds found in food that can give many benefits to our health. Choose one
compound of your interest and prepare a literature study discussing these points:

1. Introduction –Background study, functionality, sources of compound, chemical structure. (20


marks)

2. Method of analysis determination of the compound including sample preparation, extraction and
determination. Include flowchart . (30 marks)

3. Benefits of the compound. (30 marks)

4. Find and attach 3 published papers (must be from year 2015 and above) that involves the study of
that compound. (10 marks)

5. Write in good format and neat with no spelling and grammatical error, tidy and neat. Good editing.
