TS03-2 Testing of the IPTRAN ZXCTN 6120S using ZTE Software ............................. 18
Step 1: Connect the 220V AC wires of power cable to the sockets provided on the right side of the ZTE
Cabinet. (See Pictures Below)
Step 2: After connecting the wires, switch on the circuit breaker also located at the right side of the
cabinet to start the operation.
Step 3: After switching on the circuit breaker of the power supply, power control indicator (see
highlighted the picture below) will start to initialize, wait until display comes up indicating that the parts
are ready to work.
Step 4: Switch on the Circuit Breaker Number 1 to power on the Cabinet Centralized Fan.
Step 5: Switch on the Circuit breaker number 3 to power on the BBU Module with cards. Wait for 10 to
15 minutes to make BBU fully initialized and accessible.
Step 6: Switch on the Circuit breaker Number 9 and 10 to power on the IPRAN. Also wait for 10-15
minutes to make the IPRAN fully initialized and accessible.
Step 1: To check the BBU's functionality and output, connect the UTP Cable to BBU's
Debug/CAS/LMT UTP socket going to laptop.
Step 2: After connecting, go to the program open NetSetMan and set it to BBU. See image below.
Step 3: After setting up the program, open EOMS.jar program. Once EOMS program opens, click the
OK Button. (No username and password are required)
Step 4: After clicking the Ok button, EOMS program will start to connect on the BBU's system and a
window will be opened showing the details you need about the BBU, cards and controls.
Step 1: To check the IPRAN functionality and output, connect first the RJ45 serial cable to 9000-2ER
IPRAN. Look for the module P90E-MCT-2D then connect to Console Socket.
Step 2: Change IP Address to 192.168.0.20 255.255.0.0, then TELNET 192.168.0.1. See figures
below
Step 4: After setting up the program, go to your computer device manager, check the list of ports.
Step 5: Open the PuTTY program, set to serial then the type of port available.

Step 5: After clicking the Ok button, the program will start to connect on the IPRAN's system and a
window will be open showing the details you need about the IPRAN Module, cards and controls.
Step 1: To check the IPRAN functionality and output, connect first the UTP Cable to SMDE Card LCT
socket.
Step 4: After setting up the program, go to your computer device manager, check the list of ports.
Step 4: Open the PuTTY program, select Telnet then type 192.192.192.11 then click open.

Step 5: After clicking the Open button, the program will start to connect on the IPRAN's system, click
enter and a window will open showing the details you need about the IPRAN Module, cards and
controls.
Step 1: For RRU Testing, get a power cable with 12 wires (6 wires with color coding then 6 wires
(black for ground). See image below.
Step 2: Connect one end of the power cable (colored) to 6 different circuit breakers of ZTE Cabinet
located as shown below then the other 6 blacks wires are for grounding to be attached on the metal
part above the breakers.
Step 3: After connecting the 12 wires on the circuit breakers and ground, open the control box of the
RRU modules and connect the other 12 end wires (6 blacks for ground in any order then 6 color
coding wires in proper order), please note the color black section is for ground and the color blue
section is for the wires with color code.
Step 4: When connecting the power wires on the RRU Control box, there is no color coding but we
recommend following the colors as indicated in the Control Box Cover. Please refer to the Manual
available on the Control box top cover.
Step 5: After connecting the power cables from Cabinet to RRU, get the Fiber Optics Cable (FO). On
one end having red and blue, connect the FO (red and blue) on the patch panel (a small like box
located at the top part of the BBU), blue for the left then red for the right. See the Image below.
Step 6: Connect the other ends of the FO Cable (7 color coded end of FO wires) and connect to the
RRU Control Box. Follow the color coding on the below image.
Step 6: After connecting the power wires and the FO cables, Power on the RRU on the BBU cabinet
and start accessing the RRU's information, function and controls by connecting the UTP Cable on the
RRU modules one by one going to the BBU's, normally it takes 20-30 minutes for each RRU modules
to fully initialized and accessible. See the figure below:
Step 8: If the RRU Modules are still not ready or not completely initialize, the system will be on a
Normal Operational with Faulty running status, just wait until the modules are ready, refresh the
program, then all running status will be in normal and the red illustration will be Green after complete
initialization.
Normally, it will just take another couple of minutes more and the modules will change its status to
Ready. Refresh the program so that all running status will be in normal and the red illustration will be
Green after complete initialization. See Figure below:
