PRE-ACTIVITY ASSESSMENT

Participants were asked as to what their expectations are and what they expect to gain from the activity.

What was measured was the Level of Knowledge on the Topics Decentralization and Local Governance, SK
History and Salient Features, Meetings and Resolutions, Planning and Budgeting, and Code of Conduct and
Ethical Standards.

Amongst those that the participants expected from the activity:


Gain more knowledge on SK/What SK is, the responsibilities of SK and SK officials.
Learn how to make plans, minutes, and resolutions
And they were expecting that after the training they will become good leaders of the barangay with the
bigger aim of improving their barangay youth.

POST ACTIVITY ASSESSMENT

Participants were asked to rate the activity based on Attainment of Objectives, Level of Knowledge,
Program Design and Management (Topic/Session and Method, Handouts/Materials and Other Instructional
Aid, Resource Speaker/Facilitator, Secretariat, Venue, Food) and Level of Satisfaction on the Activity.

Together with the level of Satisfaction on the activity, they were also asked to give a brief description on
how they benefited from the activity, the most useful aspect in the activity, and were also asked to give
suggestions on how activities like this can be improved in case something like this will be conducted in the
future.

How they benefited from the activity


- To be an effective leader in the delivery of service
- Gained knowledge on how to perform tasks and understood the responsibilities which need to be
delivered during the term
- Encouraged to perform the task of an SK official
- Learned a lot that they didn’t know before
- Taught cooperation

The most useful aspect in the activity


- Very useful discussions
- All discussions are useful
- Planning and Budgeting topic helped so they can develop an action plan ***
- Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards taught the participants of the core values that they need to
uphold so they can be good role models of the barangay
- Good that powerpoint presentations were used as Instructional Aid

Suggestions on how activities like this can be improved in case something like this will be conducted in
the future
- Better Audio equipment so the speakers will be more audible ***
- Additional Staff
- Equipment and materials should be properly checked to ensure smooth flow of activity.
- More practical exercises
- More materials given to participants
- Additional topics that were not included in this training
- Clear video presentation ***
- Enough tie for the speakers to discuss every topic, so they will not be talking fast – participants can
understand more
- Handouts should also be distributed other than the projected presentations
