Research Report

Introduction
The university cafeteria is one of the busiest establishments in the institution. In the same way, it is within
the establishments of which, both students and teachers and managers, request more products and services
that are offered there.
For this reason, it is essential to carry out a study that makes it possible to make an assessment of the
products and services that this establishment offers in relation to the following research variables: the level

489598997.docx
Australasia International School - RTO Code: 6251 CRICOS Provider Number: 02747G Page 9 of
29
Assessment Task 2 BSBINM

of satisfaction of the customer’s needs, the assessment of the quality of the products compared to their
price and feedback from customers regarding the products and services offered by the establishment.
Therefore, the present report intends to present and analyse the results collected through the application of
the research study previously carried out, which, aims to make an assessment of the service and products
offered by the cafeteria of our institution and, therefore, measure the degree of satisfaction of the customers
of that establishment. All this, to promote the improvement of areas of customer service that have
shortcomings in this establishment.

Methodology
The research methodology used in the previous research study was defined as a descriptive research
method since, according to Ariola (2006) “the purpose of the descriptive method is to describe “what is”. It
deals with the prevailing conditions of objects, people, and events” (p. 47) 1.
Within this research methodology, the descriptive survey method was used as a research technique for data
collection, since, “it attempts to analyze, interpret, and repot the present status of the subject matter or
problem. It uses questionnaire or other instruments to generate data prepared by the researcher” (p. 47, 48).

Research findings
The application of the descriptive survey method yielded the data to be analyzed below:

The data obtained for the three variables taken into consideration in the preparation of this research study
were represented in a circular diagram to allow their subsequent statistical analysis. As the above graphs
represent the information obtained, the three variables studied had a considerably good performance that is
manifested in the acceptance of the positive options that rated each variable.

Discussion
Research findings show that the organization enjoys a high level of acceptance among its clients who have
stated that:

489598997.docx
Australasia International School - RTO Code: 6251 CRICOS Provider Number: 02747G Page 11 of
29
Assessment Task 2 BSBINM

 The level of satisfaction of your needs by our products is determined by the 10 percent who
responded "Extremely well" plus the 60 percent who stated "Very well". The 30 percent responded
"Somewhat well".
 70% mentioned that the quality of the products was High (50%) and Very high (20%). The
remaining 30 percent were at a point of indecision when choosing the option “Neither high nor low
quality”.
 The 80 percent of respondents' rehousing was related to the options “Excellent quality and service”
(40 percent) and “Very good service” (40 percent).
Conclusion
The statistical analysis of each of the variables studied allows us to conclude that the products and services
offered by the cafeteria of the institution enjoy a high level of acceptance among the clients of that
establishment.
By way of conclusion, it is also important to mention that, among the options presented to respondents to
measure the research variables, a percentage greater than or equal to 70% corresponds to those options of
positive character. The remaining percentage corresponds to intermediate options. Therefore, no negative
options were registered by the respondents in the evaluation of the research variables.

Recommendations
 Further strengthening of marketing strategies to reach potential customers who have not yet known
about products and services offered by the institution’s cafeteria.
 Preserve the quality of the products and services offered by the cafeteria but work on reducing
costs.

Research Report

Introduction
The university cafeteria is one of the busiest establishments in the institution. In the same way, it is within
the establishments of which, both students and teachers and managers, request more products and services
that are offered there.
For this reason, it is essential to carry out a study that makes it possible to make an assessment of the
products and services that this establishment offers in relation to the following research variables: the level
of satisfaction of the customer’s needs, the assessment of the quality of the products compared to their
price, the satisfactory degree of customer service with respect to their complaints and claims on the
products offered, the time that customers have used the products and services offered by the establishment,
the probability of a new purchase and that customers recommend the establishment to their friends and
colleagues.

Within this research methodology, the descriptive survey method was used as a research technique for data
collection, since, “it attempts to analyze, interpret, and repot the present status of the subject matter or
problem. It uses questionnaire or other instruments to generate data prepared by the researcher” (p. 47, 48).
