Laws of current:
- The current around a series circuit is the same

- In a parallel circuit, when a junction is reached, the current will split

- The current will split equally if the resistance is equal

- Otherwise the current will split so that more current flows through the path of least
resistance

Laws of voltage:
- The sum of the potential difference across the components in a series circuit must add up
to the p.d of the source

- The p.d across a component will be proportional to the resistance of the component

- The p.d is shared when the components are in series

- The p.d across the branches of a parallel circuit is equal
