Lesson two: EXPLORE: Formative Assessment

Task: Students complete Animal Discovery – activity requires them to use their Discovery Page.
a. Students 'hunt' for the matching environment their animal is best suited for by
scanning the QR codes with their devices. 
b. Once they have found the appropriate environment for their animal, students check
with the teacher
c. Students illustrate their animal within its environment, describe at least 4
characteristics of the environment and at least 4 adaptations that ensure the animal
survives.
d. Take a picture and upload to the class google slide.

From there, their Discovery Page will be handed in and assess to provide a FORMATIVE
assessment of student achievement, using the following checklist.
