- Incoming voltage check:

From Network or from Diesel Autonomous Generator.

Incoming voltage check is the most important setting to be carried out before working with the
RDC. If the input power conditions are not OK, Robot won’t start up.

Robot is using a 3 Phases system + Ground wire.

Neutral wire is not used.

Ensure that a 30 mA differential switch is on the Network main electric cabin to protect ground
current drops.

1.1. If Electric Network is the electric power source:

• Check phases stability: Between phases voltage must be similar (difference less
than 3%).
• Check magneto-thermal breaker limit is suitable (minimum 63A) into the electric
cabin of the network.
• Check the Power wire from the electric cabin to the robot has the suitable size.
• If Voltage is OK, switch ON (DC-B) again. Position Key switch in MAN for 1 second
to check electric motor fan is turning RIGHT.
• If all is OK, and the electric motor don’t starts, check the (PS) Protector Switch
green led. If it flashes, turn the General switch to position “2”, to invert the phase
sequence. Then green led will turn to solid light and , electric motor will start when
“ROBOT ON” will be activated on the RC unit. See PS Alarm Identification:
1.2. If a Diesel Generator or similar is the electric power source:

• Check the main characteristics of the generator:

o Power range: MINIMUM 70 KVA.
• Check Protection breaker on the generator: minimum 175A.
• Switch Off the DC-B.
• Turn General Switch behind the robot (on the Backside of the frame) to “1” Position.

• Check input voltage with a multi-meter (tester) before the (DC-B) 50A D-Curve
Breaker between L1-L2, L2-L3, L1-L3, that is the expected and they are stable
(less than 5% differences).
• If Voltage is OK, switch ON (DC-B) again. Position Key switch in MAN for 1 second
to check electric motor fan is turning RIGHT.
• If all is OK, and the electric motor don’t starts, check the Protector Switch green
led. If it flashes, turn the General switch to position “2”, to invert the phase
sequence. Then green led will turn to solid light and , electric motor will start when
“ROBOT ON” will be activated on the RC unit (See PS Alarm Identification previous
info).
• Check PS green led light. If OK, then START UP the electric Motor Normally.

Use a checklist to record initial data for the start-up, every time the electric power source is
changed to get more traceability of the st-up activity.
