Findings of the Study

Data are presented in the form of table by using Microsoft Word Program. Table has been created by relating with
the data collected mainly from secondary sources like economic census reports, district statistics of BBS etc. Here
data are mainly articulated and calculated by using percentage analysis. By this the maximum percentage and
lower percentage can be understood exactly about the matters related to this study. For quantitative analysis it is
helpful.

It is appearing from the Table-1 that 51.17% of the total population are male while 48.83% of them are female
counterpart. This result shows that the women are slightly small portion while the scenario is different in this
perspective though the percentage of women and men are almost similar at national level. The average household
size of the project area is 5.2 which is higher than the national average household size 4.412.

The study shows that in last 10 years, the proportion of male population was higher till 2011 and subsequently the
number of female population increased in the following years. In case of the number of population, a significant
growth is observed from 1981-2011. With the increasing number of population, the literacy rate is also increased
among the people in Sylhet Sadar. However, in 2011 the total number of population had dramatically decreased to
half of the earlier decade, but the growing trend of literacy rate remained same. According to Bangladesh
Economic Review 2018, the average literacy rate of the country is about 76%. According to the data from District
Statistics 2011 (Sylhet), though the literacy rate (People above 7 years old) is increased, but there is no significant growth
observed.

The result shows in case of marital status, only 20% of recipients have

income range BDT 20-25000 above. Where income range 10-15000 and 15-2000 are 40%.

Table-2 represents that total 60% of the respondent came into UISC in case of registration

process such birth registration, license registration etc. among the recipients 25% of them came

into UISC to fill up the online job circular form. Rest of the respondent came UISC to participate

in the training programme. (Table-2) The study shows that 70% of the respondent came into

UISC regularly for service. 15% first time and 15% second time came into UISC where 20%

come 10-15 days, other 20% said they have come 15-30 days and other 15have come 3-6 month

later for receiving service. (Table-3), (Table-5)

Most of the respondent of 65% came to know about the UISC services from their union

chairman. 20% of them from their neighbor and rest of them from their friend to know about the

UISC services. (Table-4) It is appearing from the Table-6 & Table-7 that 45% of the

respondents are well aware about the UISC programme but only 15% of the respondent has the

email id for the service.(Table-6), (Table-7)

From the Table-9 & Table-10 it has shown that most of the respondent of 85% receive service
regarding to their profession and it helps to develop their profession vastly. (Table-9), (Table-10)

Table-12 and Table-13 represent that 70% of the respondent give fees in receiving their service.

And 80% of the respondents think that the fees are around their limit. (Table-12), (Table-13)

From the Table-14 & Table-18 it shows that most of the respondents of 55% think that after

receiving service from UISC it brings change in their social life. But 50% respondents said that

they face barrier in regarding to receive service. (Table-14), (Table-18)

It is appearing from the Table-11 & Table-19 that most of the respondents of 70% told that the

service provided by the officer of UISC is very helpful to them. 35% respondent thinks that the

service of the UISC is in a satisfactory level.
