SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

TCLF is a forum for the exchange of ideas and we are open to submissions from all areas of law as
long as they have some contemporary relevance.

Contributors: We invite submissions on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year from
members of the bar, legal professionals, law students, or others who are interested in publishing
with us.

Content Guidelines: Authors must conform to the following guidelines before submission-
• The article should reflect original and unpublished work of the author. Descriptive pieces are
discouraged. The authors should submit analytical pieces. A maximum similarity of 15% is
permissible.
• Co-authorship upto two authors is allowed.
• Authors should preferably use hyperlinks within the text itself for citing the resources instead of
footnotes.
• If hyperlinking the resources is not possible, authors may use Oxford Standard OSCOLA (4th
edition) or any uniform citation style to cite authorities as endnotes.
• Authors should restrict their submissions between 1500-1800 words. However, if an article is of
high contemporary relevance with a very novel analysis, though exceeding the prescribed word
limit, can be published as a two part blog post as per the discretion of the Editorial Board.

*Note: The articles would be evaluated on the following broad parameters: novelty/originality of
the idea, articulation, structure, relevancy and authors’ insight.

Format Guidelines: The authors should strictly adhere to the following format for submission-
• Submissions should be made in Microsoft Word (.doc) format.
• Language used should be British English.
• Authors must adhere to the following formatting style; Font style: Times New Roman, Font size:
12 and Line spacing: 1.5. The body of the document should be justified.

How to contribute: All submissions are to be made by mailing your pieces

to submissions.tclf@gmail.com with the subject line ‘Submission_TCLF’. The body of the email
must contain a short bio of the author(s) and the name of the institution that they are affiliated
to. Kindly do not disclose your identity in the word document while making the submission as
we follow a blind peer review process.

Review Period: The review process usually takes a week’s time. The author shall be informed of
the decision of the editorial board by an email within 7 working days.
The Editorial Board holds absolute discretion to decide whether the submission shall be published
or not.  In case of any dispute, the decision of the Editorial Board will be final and binding.

Cross Posting: Content published on TCLF may be cross posted by the author on other platforms
only after 48 hours of its publication on TCLF and taking due permission of the Editorial Board for
the same. The Editorial Board shall exercise discretion in allowing cross posting. Once cross
posting is allowed on other platforms, it is a mandatory requirement to acknowledge the
publication of the said article on TCLF, along with providing due credits.
