Course Description
Introduction to various tracks of specialization of civil engineering, emphasis on ethics, responsibility
and professionalism.

Course Learning Outcomes
• Understand the history of Civil Engineering and the profession
• Familiarize with the practices of Civil Engineers in relation to their interaction with society
Course Requirements
Quizzes
1. Accomplish all quizzes covered from each chapter in an intermediate yellow pad.
2. Place it inside a long brown envelope and submit during the major examinations.

As for major exams, midterm examination will cover Chapters 1 & 2, and final examinations
will cover Chapters 3 & 4.

Course Policies Grading System


Midterm Grade:
1) Student must submit all course 50% Quizzes + 50% Midterm Exam
requirements on the set deadline.
2) In order to pass the course, students must Final Grade:
submit all course requirement and pass the 50% Quizzes + 50% Final Exam
examinations
