Good evening teacher and classmate today I talk about the

anemia in PERU. Ok, let’s start. The anemia in Peru has
been a very big and serious problem for a long time,
especially in children under five years old. The minsa said
that children were more likely to have anemia because
they grow much faster. Other doctors studied a lot about
this disease. They explained that there are many reasons
why this disease appears, but one of the main causes is
poor diet and a lack of iron in the daily diet. This one
produces too many symptoms. but the most recurrent are
fatigue, lower performance to study and damage to
psychomotor development. Due to this long problem, the
Peruvian State tries to create several programs to reduce
this problem, but they are not enough. for example, you
can consume a lot of iron, but his body cannot absorb it
completely. my uncle told me that he had heard of
fortified foods. All over the world, food engineers and
nutritionists can make fortifications of the most consumed
products such as rice.
last year, a young man created a cookie called Nutri H, he
said that his cookies could reduce the anemia because, 30
grams of his product could provide the necessary amount
of iron.
This could be the solution to all our problems, but as it is a
new product it is very expensive, so the state didn’t let
them obtain many of them.
Last year, my friend and I tried to create gummies with
chicken blood and camu camu sweetened with panela. we
made plenty of formulations. My friend told me that it
might have too much iron if the formulation if this one had
a lot of chicken blood. but the university didn't have
enough equipment to carry out the tests.
Also, we did surveys in a few schools with children under
9 years old. The most kids said they liked the product
because it tasted like a chocolate.
Then we wanted to enter a competition for innovative
products at the university, we spoke with an engineer and
she made us make a budget to see the cost of the product.
we could see that it was a low-cost of product. Also, we
had to do the logo and packaging. all was very beautiful.
the day of the competition, we had to talk about this
product. The next day they announce the winner, we won
the first place.
