Objectives: Identify situations where energy is applied in everyday life

Review
Energy, is the ability to perform work in general, and we find it in the form of energy, the so-
called kinetic energy, which is associated with motion and potential energy, which is
associated with position in a system or with reservation. In these two simple experiments we
will see how energy is applied.

Materials:
White lab coat
Lab notebook
1 balloon
1 plastic ruler
Small pieces of paper
2 old CDs
1 tube of toilet paper
Duct tape roll
1 skewer stick
2 washers
2 elastic rubbers
Scissors

Procedure 1:

1. Put the pieces of paper on a table. Blow up a balloon and tie a knot.
2. Rub the balloon on a wool scarf or on your hair.
3. Put the balloon 10 to 20 cm above the pieces of paper.

Results:
Explain what happened to the pieces of paper and why?_
