    Malaysia – Stop Acceptance of Plastic Scrap

    Dear Customer,

    We would like to inform you that with immediate effect, Hapag-Lloyd will no longer
    accept plastic scrap (HS Code 39.15) imports to Malaysia.

    This measure is taken to comply with recent Government Regulation issued by the
    Solid Waste Department Authority.

    Accordingly please note:

    • Current Shipments at terminal / on voyage will be released gradually by


    Authority upon their final approval

    • No new bookings of plastic scrap may be submitted for acceptance
