COURSE DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES

This course is specifically designed to discuss and recognize the term, concepts, theories, and
application of “BIP”.

CONTENTS
The contents of this course mainly include discussions on the theories and application of “Bahasa
Inggris Profesi”.

ACTIVITIES
Students will be engaged in some activities such as: lecture, pair/group work, pair/group
presentation, and group/whole-class discussion, in which all students are expected to take parts
actively.

EVALUATION
Students’ final grade will be determined on the basis of their participation in classroom
activities/presentations (30%), regular attendance (20%), and scores in mid-semester test (20%)
and final semester test (30%).

LEARNING CONTRACT

Rules/agreements:

- Attendance: min 80% (11 +1mid+1final=13).

- Clothes: clean & tidy!
- Clean and tidy hair! (no long hair allowed for male students).
- Mobile Phone: silent (unless it is very important, nobody texting during the teaching and
learning process).
- Submitting the assignment: no lateness.
- Lateness in attending the meeting is tolerated not more than 10 mnts.
- No remedial mid-test or final test.
- Meeting postponement by the lecturer will be informed to the class captain in advance.
- Class captain will be in charge of forwarding any messages or information from the lecturer
to the students.
- Schedule for make-up class will be based on lecturer-students availability and agreement.
- Students who are unavailable for attending the meeting may send a text prior to the class-
time.
- Be polite in texting, talking, and behaving.
