KARTAR AASARA

WHAT IS MOSAIC ?

Mosaic is a picture or pattern produced by arranging together small

pieces of stone, tile or glass. 

Slam Fam Jam in collaboration with Rotaract Club Of Dr. HSJ College
wants to create a big mosaic of smiling children and happy retired
elderly with YOUR art and talent.

Each artist’s work will contribute immensely to help us create a

better life for the people of Kartar Aasra during these tough Covid
times.

What is the good cause
you are talking about?
Kartar Aasra is an orphanage and old age home in
Chandigarh, India. During these difficult Covid times, it has
been hard for them to make ends meet. The children have
been stuck in the small house because Kartar Aasra can’t
afford their treatment if they were to face any misfortune.

They don’t accept monetary donations, however, they do

accept donations in kind to keep their home running.

By organising this fundraiser, we are trying to do our bit for

the children and the elderly so that they have access to
everyday essentials and less limitations.

A VIRTUAL
EXHIBITION
SLAMFAM JAM IS ORGANISING A VIRTUAL OPEN MIC

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL EXHIBITION?

It is an exhibition of various artforms like music, poetry, painting, sketching,

photography and more on a virtual, online platform. 

We encourage artists to donate money for Kartar Aasra and they will get a
chance to exhibit their work on two Instagram pages:
@slamfamjam and @rotaractclubhsj

WHY A VIRTUAL EXHIBITION AND NOT AN OPEN MIC?

After our successful series of Virtual Open Mics, we want to go back to our initial
ideology and contribute to the society through our SFJ Community, this time
with Rotaract Club.

Additionally, we want your work to reach a larger audience.

How will the

funds be used?

All the funds collected will be used to buy

articles of use that Kartar Asara requires like
milk, ration, bed sheets, almirah, bulbs and
even coolers and a refrigerator if we are able
to collect enough money.

THE DATA OF ALL THE MONEY COLLECTED, RECEIPTS

OF THE ARTICLES BOUGHT AND THE PROOF OF
DONATION ACCEPTANCE BY KARTAR AASRA WILL BE
MADE PUBLIC ONCE THE FUNDRAISER ENDS.

What is the
minimum amount
you can donate?
WE ARE ACCEPTING ART ENTRIES AND DONATIONS
FROM TWO COUNTRIES; INDIA AND CANADA

FOR INDIAN ARTISTS:

Option 1 = Donate 50 INR

And submit an art entry that is a Picture (JPEG) or a Video (MP4 less than
1minute)

Option 2 = Donate 75 INR

And submit an art entry that is a Video (MP4 more than
1 minute, less than 3 minutes)

Option 3 = Donate 100 INR

And submit an art entry (JPEG or MP4) + A 5 minute IG Live interview of
the artist

PER YOUR CONVENIENCE.

How can we submit an

artwork?
STEPS
1. Pay via PayTm/GooglePay/Interac Email Transfer to account
mentioned in the registration form.

When you pay, add your Name and IG handle in the

payment description.
Don’t forget to take a screenshot after you’ve made the
payment!

2. In the registration form:

Attach the screenshot of the payment

Attach your artwork using: google drive, google photos,
google docs links, WeTransfer link etc.

A CONFIRMATION EMAIL WILL BE SENT TO YOU WITHIN 2 DAYS.

AFTER THE REGISTRATION PROCESS ENDS ON 12TH SEPTEMBER, OUR TEAM

WILL CURATE THE ARTWORKS IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY. WE WILL POST
THE ARTWORKS FROM 13TH-20TH SEPTEMBER.

Which art forms

are accepted?
Painters, musicians, singers, rappers, poets, comics,
photographers, illustrators are encouraged to send in their
artworks in video, picture or a document format
to be a part of the event!

Some rules to keep in mind:

Content quality of the artworks should be good. If sending a video it should be well lit and audio should be clear. 
Hate speech is not welcome. Should an artwork include or incite hate against any person/group the entry will be
disqualified.
